Monday, 21 November 2016. And on Saturday, along with three other members of Cambridge Camera Club, I was a guest 'paparazzi' for the evening at the invitation of John Lewis in Cambridge whose Christmas Party had a theme of Hollywood. Spent Friday night photographing the preview of the Foxton Art Exhibition. Thursday, 17 November 2016. A comparison of the same image, shot yesterday outside Caius (pronounced Keys! College, one in colour and the other monochrome. Can't decide which I prefer.

These images were all created over a two year period with the intention of capturing some of the ambience of Cambridge as a place to live or to visit. Last Saturday, Harriet and I decided to wander up to Wicken Fen. Instead I had to make do with a family of mallards which were patrolling the area in front of the hide. By the way, the splodges in the pictures are not sensor dust spots but small black flies which were absolutely everywhere. Welcome to my blog!

Little Green Men Photography. Random postings from an itinerant engineer who would rather be taking pictures or catching trout on the fly. Sunday, 28 June 2015. A couple of weeks ago, a small band of hardy nature photographers from the RPS headed out to the RSPB Reserve at Lakenheath Fen. Being "Flaming June" the weather was cold, wet, cloudy and windy. Perfect weather for photographing wildlife, in other words (not). On the plus side, the conditions meant that there were lots of snails in evidence.

Wednesday, 26 October 2016. As promised here are a selection of images shot in the last year but not previously published here. To start here are some shots of the grandkids Jet and Stella. These two show typical Cambridge landscapes, the first shot on a glorious Summer day and the second on a gloomy Autumn morning. These next three were shot during our annual trek to the Peak District starting with the gardens at Chatsworth House,. And, thirdly, Manchester Art Gallery. Ramsgate may not be so obvious!
