Wednesday, April 22, 2015. My tulip is fully open, soaking in the sun. Splendid! Can you see the heart at the center? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). At the Diner Table. My Favorite Way to Give. Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Another observation during my gratitude meditation walk. I so love the colors this time of year. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. This week I'm taking a two-day silent retreat focusing on Gratitude. On my first meditation walk, I listened to my inner voice and ended up changing direction. I walked a different route than I intended to walk when I went out the door. I was rewarded with this:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). At the Diner Table. My Favorite Way to Give.
Studio Window: Self Portrait Week 19: Basking
http://cameoroze.blogspot.com/2015/05/self-portrait-week-19-basking.html
Thursday, May 14, 2015. Self Portrait Week 19: Basking. I paused to feel the light on my skin. Then stopped to consider who was watching me. (No one). Photo Lessons I Learned:. Inspiration hits at the oddest hours. I took this photo late at night when I should have been sleeping. Sometimes you have to dare yourself to get a little uncomfortable. "Hiding" inside a wig and behind a pop of lip color helps. So when photographing people, be a little playful and take some risks. At the Diner Table.

Thursday, February 26, 2015. Self Portrait Week 8: Put on a Happy Face. Even when I've got the winter blues, I can pull out the polka dots, grab a Cheetos smile, and shine. Photo Lessons I Learned:. Forcing myself to do a creative project will often ease me out of depression. The process of being present to what I'm doing and solving problems takes me away from the kinds of thoughts that feed a depressive cycle. F5 1/15 sec . ISO 800 . 42mm. Labels: Just for Fun. Wednesday, October 3, 2012. S designs. If you like nail stuff, seriously, check her videos out! She explains how to do really cute nails in a very easy and clear way. I recently tried this how-to:. Instead of using light gray nail polish, I went for China Glaze Inner Beauty. Also, instead of dipping my nails in the rubbing alcohol, I dipped a cotton ball into the rubbing alcohol, placed the newspaper on my finger, and held the cotton ball on top. My right-hand thumb is my favorite. It says, "GOSH".

Saturday, June 29, 2013. In a foreign country gets me a lot of attention. At a club, walking through a crowd to get fresh air:. Guy: Oh, you're an American! Me: How could you tell? Guy: You have an accent. Me, with sass: No, you have an accent. Me: Where can I go to try on these pants? Clerk: You mean trousers? Me: I'd like some of those chips please. Cashier: We don't have any chips. Me, picking up a bag of potato chips: No, these chips. Cashier: Oh, right, crisps. How does this make me feel? Not that t...
Busy Beaver: A Blingy Wall
http://busybeav.blogspot.com/2014/03/a-blingy-wall.html
Sunday, March 2, 2014. All my jewelry lived in a box. All tangled together. It was sad. I decided to do something about it, and I had a cork board hanging out unused. So. I traced a design, using a tissue box to help me with the right angles. Filled it in with my favorite color of acrylic paint. Gave it a second coat for extra boldness. It took an hour of tracing and painting, then I gave it about three hours to dry before I pinned up my things. I'm glad to have easy access and fewer tangled chains.
Busy Beaver: Some Valentine's Love
http://busybeav.blogspot.com/2014/02/some-valentines-love.html
Thursday, February 20, 2014. I'm a celebrater. I celebrate anything. But I really, really like to celebrate Valentine's Day. I think it's nice to do nice things for the people you love! So here's what I did:. I got cardstock from Michaels (keep an eye out for 40% off coupons on the website! And the rest I had on hand. I took a finished-off toilet paper roll, folded it into a heart shape, and used the shape as a stamp in acrylic red paint. But most important, I think, are the nice written inside. :).

Picture Post Falls: Among the Pines
http://hometownidaho.blogspot.com/2015/04/among-pines.html
Friday, April 24, 2015. Our front yard has many pine trees. But hidden among them, is this flowering treasure. It's weeping branches sweep the air in the breeze. The blossoms glow bright against the late afternoon sky. Precious beauties that last just a short time, adding charm to our neighborhood. Hometown Idaho: Picture Post Falls. Tuesday, September 16, 2014. I was feeling dispirited this morning, so called an old friend. I told him I was feeling so lousy that I wasn't even taking pictures. He challenged me to go outside and take just one. Photo today to see if it could lift my mood. I accepted his challenge. Autumn Sky over Polites Park. Thank you, Paul. It helped! Busy Beaver: December 2012
http://busybeav.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 22, 2012. J and L Adventure 8: Breaking out the sewing machine! I've had a lovely new sewing machine for several months, but up until just a few days ago, I had barely touched it! But I know that sometimes, all it takes is a buddy to get you through a block. So when Lindsey wanted to do a shirt refashion, I knew I could gain the confidence to use my machine! We found a tutorial. That described how to turn old t-shirts into little aprons. From Ruffles And Stuff. Look at that face. :).

Saturday, September 29, 2012. Pushpin and Yarn Tree. As my apartment goes, one of my priorities is to make sure that everything is well-decorated and interesting. But because I like my space to reflect its inhabitants, this is a long process. I've been here a year and I'm nowhere near done! But today I checked a project off my to-do list that has been there for about a year: imitate this cool piece of art. Click image for original post). My land to be conquered. Watch my tree grow! Monday, March 19, 2018. My long-time friend Creeping Charlie died last month. He'd been in the family since before my eldest was born. Actually, he's been in the family since before I moved to Idaho in 1980! So I sent him off to the beautiful garden in the sky. Then I gave away the other two plants that graced his table. After a short period of mourning, I bought this galvanized pail, some soil, and fresh seeds and planted this herb garden. The sprouting has begun! Sunday, March 18, 2018. To finish the l...

Adventures with our Cameo. Paper and blade settings. Friday, 09 November 2012. I am in 7th heaven! I was ready to buy the cameo so that I could print on cardstock heavier than 200g and my good sense took over and I contacted Silhouette America telling them about my dilemma. Although they told me that the Quickutz only cuts up to a certain weight, their suggestion and advice to me was worth its weight in uncut, flawless diamonds. The Quickutz and Cameo blades are interchangeable! Tuesday, 06 November 2012.
