The Blehm Family: January 2010
http://jablehm.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 17, 2010. On day 1 in Sydney I vowed to go back to Mrs. Macquarie's Chair to take night photos. After the performance at the Opera House, we headed out to get those pictures before we flew out the next day. Nothing like waiting till the last minute. This picture turned out to be my absolute FAVORITE from the entire trip. (That photography class paid off in this shot! I can't wait to have it framed! It was just that good! Posted by Jason and Amy. A Night at the Sydney Opera House. Our guid...

Sunday, February 22, 2009. Although we have been to Venice before, we decided to make one last trek there for CARNAVALE! It was completely worth the trip! Carnavale lived up to all the hype. I took a gazillion picture (not an exaggeration). These are just. Of the many pictures. To start with, below you can see us in St. Mark's Square. Us outside of the Doge's Palace. Us inside the palace. This window gave a convicted criminal one last look at freedom. Us along the Grand Canal. Us with the clock tower.

Saturday, June 26, 2010. Blue Skies Are Finally Smiling At Me. We've been in another blog-lull. Honestly, it's because us adventure seeking travelers have been, well. sitting on our derriers while it has rained cats and dogs. It seems like it's been raining for forever. (We even considered building an arc for a while.) But FINALLY the "rainy season" is over and blue skies have headed our way. Much needed and much over-due I might add! I picked the perfect day to go because it was nice and low-key.

The Blehm Family: March 2009
http://jablehm.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 10, 2009. It is better to have loved and lost. Dixie waltzed through my door in Valdosta back in 2000, and in no time at all she stole my heart. Not only was she a beauty, she also had quite the personality! Dixie had the best qualities of both lab and retriever. She was happy and playful.and the birds and squirrels were always wary of her (yes, she did catch a few). Also, she was loyal, genuine, and easy going. Dixie was one of a kind. Dixie was a true Georgia Dawg. While Jason snooze...

Sunday, September 20, 2009. Going to the beach with Aspen and Mike. After church on Sunday, we took a quick trip to one of the beaches along the East China Sea. Aspen and Mike were itching to get their toes in the sand. Not sure that I want to lay beside her on the beach. Jason and I enjoying the coolness of the water while the sun beats down on us. The East China Sea. Mike and Jason: kids at heart. They couldn't wait to run into the water. Posted by Jason and Amy. Eisa Dancer/Orion Beer Festival. Below ...

The Blehm Family: Whale Watching
http://jablehm.blogspot.com/2010/03/whale-watching.html
Sunday, March 28, 2010. A few weekends ago, Jason and I ventured out into the Pacific in search of the humpback whale. From February to March every year, the humpback whales travel across the Pacific from Alaska to Okinawa. They spend two months here in the warm waters off Okinawa while bringing the next humpback generation into the world. Bring on the show! Actually, the rules in Japan are quite strict (as they should be), not allowing boats to get too close to the whales. Not to worry! Here's a short v...

Saturday, June 6, 2009. Sunset at Sunset Beach. Jason and I took a much needed break from unpacking today. Seems like it shouldn't take so long to unpack.but when you have too much stuff and no attic.it takes a while. We got away from the clutter at Sunset Beach. We hadn't exactly planned on going to the beach.so we didn't actually have our good camera with us. Thankfully phones now double as cameras! Good thing Jason's arms are long! Posted by Jason and Amy. Sunday, September 26, 2010. This summer we headed home to enjoy time with family and friends. We were so fortunate to see so many people.but of course, there were so many others we wish we could've seen. One month is never long enough to catch up on a year's worth of visiting! Here are a few pics from our time at home (note that not all pics are posted b/c my mom hasn't shared her pics yet- hint, hint Mom). The trip to the aquarium wasn't so nice on Beau's arm. Beware of albino alligators! One of several...

The Blehm Family: May 2009

Thursday, May 21, 2009. Saying good-bye is never easy! These are just a few of the occasions (the ones I have pics of) that we enjoyed celebrating great memories and friendships before leaving Germany. My sweet kiddos threw a going away dinner for me. All smiles here.but by the end of the night they had me near tears. I sure hated leaving them before the end of the school year! They not only sold me some great antique pieces, but they became great friends too. The boys: Richie, Jason, Zac, and Mike.
