Sunday, March 29, 2015. Wonderful things going on and I am just grateful. This past week our dear Kaitlyn Gonzalez came back from her mission. I can't imagine how difficult is to go back to "normal" but we are very happy to have her back! Friday we went out for lunch to catch up a little bit. Bienvenida Hermana Gonzalez! Annika has been spending lots of time with Grandma and Papa. This time is precious and I know she will be glad to had done it. I know the answer to that :). This week is Easter week....

Saturday, February 25, 2012. Annika's school celebrated President's day by encouraging the students to dress up with American colors and etc. Well, most of the kids were wearing just that but not my girl: she wanted to dress up as Abraham Lincoln. Got to give her props for her out of the box thinking and courage to follow through. Foi maravilhoso poder dar o ultimo cheque do carro pra ele. Thursday, February 21, 2013. Bear with me while I try to finish up December. The kids always enjoy the annual Christmas party at the police department. Good food, cotton candy, face painting and games. What else could a kid want? Once again, she decided to forego all the girly face painting options. Saturday, February 9, 2013. Thursday, November 29, 2012. I deleted some pictures off Picasa to try to free up space on my blog and now all the pictures on my blog are gone. I'm so upset right now that I may be shutting down my blog for good. I can't believe all of that work is gone. Sunday, November 11, 2012. I usually like to stick with a theme when dressing my kids up for Halloween, but this year they all wanted to be something completely different. So we ended up with a puppy, Thor, and a zombie. Friday, January 11, 2013. Our annual Misssion Inn trip to see the beautiful Christmas lights! We did this for Family Home Evening one night and on the drive there we taught the kids about the symbolism of the christmas lights. We taught them that Jesus Christ is the light of the world and so the lights are to remind us of Him. We love Christmas time and the many opportunities it gives us to teach our kids about the Savior. Checking out the ice skaters in the outdoor ice skating rink. The NEW Hicken Family.

But despite her "chatiness" at times, we catch glimpses of her being so kind and loving with her sister, have a wonderful one on one time with her, laughing and playing around together. Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Pinewood Derby and Wolf. Kyle earned his wolf! I love that he is self-motivated and always wants to do his best. We made these blue and gold cake pops for the blue and gold dinner wbere he was presented his wolf. Kyle has such a great group of boys his age in our ward. These 4 all earned their wolf together! Pinewood derby car- he called it his "xbox 360" car. Very focussed on the finish line. Kyle got 2nd place at the pinewood derby! Monday, March 25, 2013. Go With the Flow.
