Thursday, June 26, 2008. Does it really happen overnight? My little newborn is no longer a newborn. I thought I had a few more weeks. I thought I'd see subtle changes, gradually, over time. I woke up this morning and Sophia seemed a little heavier. I went to put on her onesie that just fit last week and I had a hard time fitting it over her head. I tossed it into her growing pile of clothes that no longer fit. How can it be that overnight, my little baby sprouted into a little girl? Sunday, June 22, 2008.

Wednesday, August 29, 2007. This day couldn't come soon enough! Finally, I get to see proof that there is something growing in there. My regular OB was on vacation so I had an appointment with the nurse practitioner. I think she knew how badly I wanted to see the little creature growing inside me, so she immediately performed the ultrasound. It is so amazing that something that tiny can already have eyes and a beating heart! The baby measured .72 cm. So tiny and precious! First ultrasound at 7 weeks.
