Friday, June 30, 2006. Our classes have been going well. Today we worked on digital photography with the kids today and they were great! Hiram took this picture at the Municipio this morning. A candid picture of our class. It is so funny to see them in the streets outside of class and have them call out, "hola maestra! One of the kids actually brought us apples this morning! After so much partying we thought we should celebrate by making piñatas with our class of niños so Wednesday and Thursday we made some really amazing paper maché balloons with cones. The last few days we are here we will cover them with crepe paper and then break the ones Maya and I made. Tomorrow commences our last five days of technology classes! The teachers have gone back to the classrooms for two weeks to finish the school year (although they will be returning to protest immediately after the 21st and plan to continue until well into the next school year)! This means that we have to have technology classes in the afternoons and feel generally useless during the day. Monday, July 03, 2006. Here is a video of one of the crazy bullriders flailing about last Friday. Although they do get paid a lot of money I still don t understand why they would take those risks- one guys was dragged away after the bull jumped on him. Our classes have been going well.
