Wednesday, November 30, 2011. First of the Season! Now that the weather is cool and blustery, my desire to knit has boiled back up into my bones. I finished this hat over the weekend, and I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out. I was inspired by Alex Tinsley's "A Most Bespeckled Hat". Though there are some key differences in the finished products. Hers uses a much thicker yarn, while mine was made out of some yard sale purchased sock weight stuff Paul's Mom gave me for my b-day. Here's what I learned!

Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Grover was always the Muppet on Sesame St. who seemed to take the most abuse. Here's a classic example of him being put through his paces. Grover is pretty cool, because he can not use contractions! Also, thanks to this, calling each other Grover and requesting that you count one thing has become a recent commonplace in our household. Tuesday, September 15, 2009. I had an interesting day yesterday:. Drove around swabbing leopard frogs fro chytrid fungus testing. Snipped toes from leopard frogs for DNA testing. Found a dead Clark's Nutcracker. In a spring. I have never seen this bird before, and it is too bad that the last one I will probably ever see was expired. All in all, it was a bit morbid, but I had fun. Today Brandon and I finished our killer report to the BLM state office on our study. It looks good! Anyway. Too many links?
