Asuncion - part 3: Buses. That looks and smells similar. I spent extra time in the city to be able to see my girlfriend, who works as a cook in a business which is run out of a large home. She lives and of course eats there too, which is great because she is able to save so much of her wages to send home to her family.

The New York Times has a good article about the huge economic growth. On the other hand, this morning I rode my bike out to do literacy activities in a tiny school about 6km outside of town. The school is only open in the morning and has 9 students (and two teachers! Paraguay’s social welfare programs remain meager.
