Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Short stay in Saigon and off to Long Hai (Vung Tau Province). We stayed one night in Saigon and left early for Long Hai - approximately a 2 hour bus ride to head to the beach where we would be getting ready to set up for our Spring Camp for 300 children. The next day was the camp. I have never seen such beautiful, happy, sweet and grateful children like I did at the camp. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Http:/ www.catalystfoundation.org. kat2vietnam2008: I survived Tour de Saigon Century Ride
http://kat2vietnam2008.blogspot.com/2008/03/i-survived-tour-de-saigon-century-ride.html
Friday, March 28, 2008. I survived Tour de Saigon Century Ride. I just love that helmet! I can't say enough how impressed I was with Amy and Jack who rode the entire 100 miles without breaking (except for lunch). Post Script: Although I am now home I couldn't leave this post without mention of the "HELL"MET. One of the volunteers - Dana - did not bring a helmet. So, of course that is completely stupid riding a bike in a foreign country especially in Vietnam! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Of course without being able to speak Vietnamese she would not have been able to give the officials the “talking to” she would have in English. I am sure Delores would have been very, very upset and let them know it somehow as this would have drove her crazy! Anna was pretty annoyed about the situation too as should be expected.

Saturday, April 3, 2010. Celebrating Khmer Tet in Kien Giang. From Nelson Family's blog:. This evening we had the most amazing Cambodian New Year celebration at the school — Chol Chnam Thmay. As we are so close to Cambodian many in the community are ethnically Khmer. The Catalyst community spent the entire day cooking for us and prepared an abundant feast. This was the second year in a row that we celebrated Khmer Tet. The community loves to say thanks with food and song - and it was fabulous! Building T...
