Catch a Single Thought...: Siblings {May}
https://catchasinglethought.com/2015/05/siblings-may.html
Friday, 15 May 2015. I must say this every single month but I am always surprised at how quickly this year seems to be disappearing before our eyes. We are almost in the sweetness of summer and the long stretch of holidays, and beach fun, staying up light just because it's light and too many excuses to indulge in ice lollies on the way home from school. Although I say I am constantly caught out that we are shooting towards the end of May, I am also kind of looking forward to it too! Jealousy and birthday...
Catch a Single Thought...: Gift Guide: What to buy for the man in your life...
https://catchasinglethought.com/2015/05/gift-guide-what-to-buy-for-man-in-your.html
Friday, 1 May 2015. Gift Guide: What to buy for the man in your life. Having just celebrated James' 29th birthday I know how difficult it can be to come up with a unique idea for birthday presents. James falls into the category of man who says he 'doesn't mind' even though you know that actually, he does a bit. He's also the kind of guy who will just go out and buy the things he wants when he wants them which makes the decision a whole lot harder! A course in something he wants to learn. Other course ide...
Catch a Single Thought...: March 2015
https://catchasinglethought.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 31 March 2015. Me and Mine {March}. This month we have loved:-. Finally saying goodbye to the chicken pox. Spotting the different signs of spring whilst we've been out and about. Eli in particular loves showing off his knowledge of spring flowers. Fun family days out enjoying the ever so slightly warmer weather. The start of the Easter holidays, for Meg at least! Far away for so long and now it is finally here, eek! For now, I'd be quite content to just see some warmer days rather than the mish-...
Catch a Single Thought...: My April Reads
https://catchasinglethought.com/2015/05/my-april-reads.html
Tuesday, 5 May 2015. Having done so well in March, by direct contrast April has been a terrible month for reading! I want to say it's because I was eye-deep in proofreading and editing my own. Book but I just haven't felt like picking anything up. It started when I ground to a halt over my F for the A-Z authors challenge. Ken Follett was too demanding, Sebastian Faulks 'One Week in December' I just couldn't seem to get into and I completely drew a blank at finding any other author's I wanted to read.
Catch a Single Thought...: My Top 5 Kitchen Life Hacks
https://catchasinglethought.com/2015/02/my-top-5-kitchen-life-hacks.html
Thursday, 26 February 2015. My Top 5 Kitchen Life Hacks. I am a huge fan of taking shortcuts where possible in the kitchen. Having two young children, there isn't always time to do everything 'properly' and if you've ever seen me make a cake then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about (I go for the 'dump it all in together and hope for the best' method of baking). 1 Cook your bacon in the oven. 2 Use your microwave. Pre-children, I would only ever use the microwave for heating microwave meals and not...

https://norunninginthekitchen.wordpress.com/2014/08/10/our-summer-project-and-the-discovery-of-delicious-icelandic-pancakes
No running in the kitchen. Feed the family without busting the budget, and other ideas from a mum of four. Our Summer Project, And The Discovery Of Delicious Icelandic Pancakes! August 10, 2014. During the children’s summer holidays I usually like to have a few little projects ready for us to work on. This year we aren’t taking a holiday, and I wanted something we could have to fall back on come rain or shine. So we have been travelling the six continents:. North America and the Caribbean. The author des...
finding flapjack: April 2015
http://findingflapjack.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 1 April 2015. Yesterday was due to be a 'Writing Tuesday'. I had actually thought about this one in advance and done some writing in a notebook earmarked for the purpose last week. But this week I have the flu, and today we have moved house, and I just do not have the brain space to be able to edit what I scribbled down and share it with you. I'm sorry. The prompt was this:. When you have a free morning, how do you take advantage of this time? Thank you, readers, for being lovely :-). Be Thou ...
finding flapjack: September 2014

Tuesday, 30 September 2014. Two blog posts in two days, something must be going on! How about a manic month ending with a week off just in time before I’ve completely missed the boat? Read some other takes on it here. Here is the truth: We are all leaders. Every single one of us. Everything we do impacts upon those around us, causes them to live in response to us. Here are some examples:. Craft projects on the go around the dining table. Now I am NOT one of those bubbly, always centre-of-attention people...
finding flapjack: November 2014
http://findingflapjack.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Friday, 28 November 2014. On being scared of what you know. Well, hasn’t it been a busy couple of weeks? The Christmas rush has started early it seems and it’s a long time since my last evening in. I have a TUSAL to catch up with and feedback from the &Stitches competition, but I’ve been itching to get this post out all week so I better do some reflective writing while I feel inspired. Hopefully will get another chance this weekend! What if you’ve been there before? 8221; I can only advise you to read it...
finding flapjack: May 2015
http://findingflapjack.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, 30 May 2015. Busy as a bee. Another month gone by in a whirl! It's been a busy one, but good. I've enjoyed having my feet on the ground a little more than April which was all just silly. It's that time where I review how I'm coping with all of the 'new' in my life in 2015. There is (shock horror) not actually a massive and life-changing new aspect to my life this month! Oh, did I tell you I've taken up baking bread? Also, our church congregation. Has moved house (just round the corner from us!
finding flapjack: On the missing year... and my biggest creative achievement yet!
http://findingflapjack.blogspot.com/2016/07/on-missing-year-and-my-biggest-creative.html
Monday, 18 July 2016. On the missing year. and my biggest creative achievement yet! So it's been a year. I'm not sure it's really worth summarising all that has passed as it would take far too long, I'm bound to miss out a key event and there's a distinct possibility that my only remaining reader is my mum and she already knows! The main event though, beyond which all others pale into insignificance; my greatest creative achievement of all; is that I have become a mum! Perfecting his model pose. Its nice...
finding flapjack: December 2014
http://findingflapjack.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 31 December 2014. It's that time of year for taking stock of the year that's passed and looking forward to the year to come. Instead of New Year’s Resolutions, last year I chose One Word. To guide me through the year. That word was ‘ light. 8217;, and I interpreted it in the sense of light that comes from the sun, and a lightness that is not heavy. The light since that time- Wow! Next year’s word will be announced. next year! Did you have any new year’s resolutions in 2014? How did they go?
Minecraft Party! - Adventure Mummy
http://adventuremummy.com/minecraft-party
Parenting / Home life. July 15, 2014. Parenting / Home life. Minecraft has really kicked off in our house this year, my two sons are obsessed with the pixelated game (as am I! So it came as no surprise when my eldest wanted to have a Minecraft Party for his 8th birthday. In the UK, Minecraft is only really starting to get picked up in the shops and so there was really no ready-made party items I could buy so I’ve had to research and make everything from scratch. Pinterest. Is an even better one! Creeper ...
Mummy From The Heart...: Have you been to a Build A Bear Workshop?
http://www.mummyfromtheheart.com/2011/05/have-you-been-to-build-bear-workshop.html
Sunday, 15 May 2011. Have you been to a Build A Bear Workshop? Build A Bear Workshops, what can I tell you? It was knowing how much our kids already love these bears that made me say an instant YES when asked if we would like to write a review to share with you all about the Build A Bear experience. So what is it? I had worried that this part might takes ages but when we visited Westfield on 28th December and it was really busy we only waited 5 mins for the stuffing as the staff are very efficient. Once ...
Mummy From The Heart...: New Honey Girls at Build A Bear
http://www.mummyfromtheheart.com/2015/08/new-honey-girls-at-build-bear.html
Thursday, 6 August 2015. New Honey Girls at Build A Bear. My kids have been Build A Bear. Crazy for a few years now. They made their first ones in late December 2010 and then we visited again in 2011 for a review. And since there then has been an abundance of teddies, clothes and accessories bought. 1 We were greeted as we entered the store by Xowie and she took the girls over to meet the Honey Girls and to tell them all about this new range. So first they choose their bear each. Miss M choose Ri...Miss ...
