A bird's eye view: Do it yourself
http://wyebird.blogspot.com/2006/03/do-it-yourself.html
A bird's eye view. Life from where I see it. Monday, March 13, 2006. I saw a whole new side to TOH at the weekend. The one he kept well hidden. Yes, inside his designer exterior is a man who CAN weild a power tool and put up shelves. With the help of the father-in-law, we have totally rebuilt the inside of two of our cupboards, with just one IKEA element. The rest was proper two-by-four-type sawing, drilling and screwing from B&Q. Posted by The WyeBird @ 9:08 am. Bedfordshire, United Kingdom.

A bird's eye view. Life from where I see it. Friday, April 11, 2008. Evil Facebook taking everyone away from their blogs. Maybe I'm gonna get all old skool and get busy here, or maybe I won't. Only time will tell. Posted by The WyeBird @ 4:30 pm. Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. View my complete profile. Friends Of The Earth. Strange things in the countryside. The Hate Mails Ideal Home Show. A bird's eye view: December 2004
http://wyebird.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html
A bird's eye view. Life from where I see it. Friday, December 31, 2004. We took a drive down to Leith and the coast bit this morning after a hefty and late breakfast. It is quite an attractive part of town now that it has been regenerated. Not the Leith of Trainspotting, although a Geordie vicar does conduct tours of the area taking people around the scenes of Welsh's books. Posted by The WyeBird @ 8:42 pm. Thursday, December 30, 2004. Bring on Derek Acora. Afterwards, on the way to find a restaurant (ac...

A bird's eye view: A year off!
http://wyebird.blogspot.com/2007/07/year-off.html
A bird's eye view. Life from where I see it. Monday, July 02, 2007. Good lord - has it really been so long since I last posted on this little-read blog? What has happened in all that time? Well, I shall list events in order:. 2 Went freelance instead and did a stint at a new (equally shambolic) rival free paper. Will write about the past year as the thoughts enter my mind. In the mean time, let's have a laugh at the UK's most rubbish terrorists who, after trying to drive into Glasgow airport several ...

A bird's eye view: Strange things in the countryside
http://wyebird.blogspot.com/2007/07/strange-things-in-countryside.html
A bird's eye view. Life from where I see it. Wednesday, July 18, 2007. Strange things in the countryside. One of the great pleasures of living in the countryside is all the weird and wonderful things people do to pass the time - things which simply don't happen in Canning Town. My personal favourite was a superb ET flying across a moon in Eliot's bicycle basket. And for the rest of the year's entertainment, we have the Soap Box Derby, Sponge Flinging and Vegetable Show to look forward too!

A bird's eye view: Blue feet
http://wyebird.blogspot.com/2007/07/blue-feet.html
A bird's eye view. Life from where I see it. Thursday, July 19, 2007. Normally, if your baby has blue feet it is a sure sign something is afoot (a-hem). However, today Baby M's feet were painted blue by my friend while I held him firmly in order to make foot print cards for the grandparents. Ahh, so cute! And he didn't protest, at least not for about five minutes. If I've said it once, I'll say it again - motherhood sure beats working for a living! Posted by The WyeBird @ 9:35 pm. A bird's eye view: November 2004
http://wyebird.blogspot.com/2004_11_01_archive.html
A bird's eye view. Life from where I see it. Monday, November 29, 2004. I'm forever blowing bubbles. FLAT UPDATE: We are now sans. Floor, living on bare, damp concrete with water seeping out from under the bathroom tiles. It was a cold weekend spent mostly standing around in full coat and scarf watching other people run about. On Saturday, we slowly recovered from our Friday night in Brick Lane with Steve, Hannah, Andy and Charlotte, and headed off to Upton Park to watch the Hammers hammer Watford. It ne...

A bird's eye view: March 2005
http://wyebird.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
A bird's eye view. Life from where I see it. Friday, March 25, 2005. Hadrian's Wall has collapsed. Our plans to walk Hadrian's Wall have been thwarted by TOH falling off the pavement while out on a run on Wednesday and tearing the ligaments in his ankle. He was in so much pain. I have never seen anyone in such agony before. Anyway, he is now hobbling around on crutches so obviously walking the wall is out of the question. Even though the forecast is not too favourable. A bird's eye view: June 2004
http://wyebird.blogspot.com/2004_06_01_archive.html
A bird's eye view. Life from where I see it. Wednesday, June 30, 2004. It’s a bit of a slow news day in Wye world so I thought I’d reveal to you one of my pet interests. The BBC’s 10 O’Clock News presenter. Has the most fascinating collection of neckwear ever seen. As he calmly informs us of deaths in the Middle East, famine in parched desert lands and the demise of our public services, I can’t help but wonder if he has a special cupboard at home for his rainbow collection of ties.
