Hats may be involved: The Burning House
http://hatsmaybeinvolved.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-burning-house.html
Sunday, 24 March 2013. Interesting idea and obsessively organised photos! If your house was burning, what would you take with you? It's a conflict between what's practical, valuable and sentimental. What you would take reflects your interests, background and priorities. Think of it as an interview condensed into one question. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Helen Foot Design: October 2014
http://helenfootdesign.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 13 October 2014. Collaborating with Sheep of Steel . . . Earlier this year I was delighted to be contacted by Irem Arig, owner of Sheep of Steel. To see if I would be interested in making some collaborative scarves with her. Irem spins the most fantastic yarns and has an amazing sense of colour, so there was an proposition I couldn't possibly refuse! But picking just 4 designs for our first batch of scarves was no easy task! We had ideas for hundreds so we really had to rein ourselves in. From th...

http://helenfootdesign.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 7 June 2015. MY TEN TIPS FOR NEW TEXTILE GRADUATES . . . 1 First things first, update your CV. It might seem obvious but it's such an important part of the first impression you will make with a potential employer. Get it looking slick and make sure it's not too wordy. You need clear formatting, bullet points rather than paragraphs and a couple of great referees (make sure you get their permission 1st). 7 Be someone worth knowing. You may have been a large fish in a small pond while you were a...

Friday, 17 April 2015. Buddying Heather Shields . . . I've been kindly asked by the Crafts Council. To act as a 'buddy' again this year and have been paired up with Glasgow based weaver Heather Shields. Combining playful colour palettes and bold patterns, Heather creates vibrate contemporary fabrics and homewares. Where she ...
