Why CGC Is Important? Peer Support Group Placement. Who Is Eligible For Services? Children, teens and their families who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent, or other loved one through accident, illness, homicide or suicide. Clients receive an initial interview and assessment to determine group placement and referral needs. Our support groups are bi-lingual and culturally sensitive. Master's Level Certified Grief Therapist. Master's level Counselors and Social Workers.

Why CGC Is Important? Initial Interview and needs assesment. Peer Support Groups: Age appropriate groups allow families to interact with peers who have suffered similar losses and to express their fears, anger, guilt and sadness in a safe and loving environment. Each family situation determines the length of group participation, the average period is one year. Grief support groups are offered to children from the ages of 5 to young adults and include deaths from illness, accidents, murder, suicide and war.

Why CGC Is Important? Group volunteers are trained at least 3 times a year, January, April, August/September. We invest a great deal of training in our volunteers, therefore, we require a one year commitment to our organization. Our groups meet weekly so volunteers may participate weekly or biweekly.
