Tuesday, February 18, 2014. In the past we've put off house projects to the point that nothing ever got done. When we did all the work necessary to sell our house in Charlotte, I came to realize one thing. That's when I decided that I would do little projects as soon as I could. That way I could enjoy the house the way I wanted. We've done well so far. We've repainted the wood trim outside. Thursday, January 8, 2015. End of 2014 Family Letter. 2014 was full of ups and downs for us. Guess that's life! Here are a few highlights. (Sorry I don't have pictures! Kiah and Ashlee BOTH started driving. Talk about nerve wracking drives to church and Walmart! Actually it wasn't too bad after the first few times. It's funny though because Kiah had no interest in driving until Ashlee decided to get her permit. Competition can work miracles. Ashlee started taking piano lessons this fall. I'm SO happy!

Monday, May 27, 2013. It's amazing the difference one month can make. When we bought our new home the grass hadn't even turned green yet. The previous owner had ripped out all the landscaping leaving us a blank slate to work with. Even better he included a certain dollar amount that he would pay us to put into the landscape because the HOA has certain requirements. The day we moved in. Monday, April 22, 2013. Adam's Last Pinewood Derby. For a while anyway. I don't know why we are so bad at making pinewood derby cars, but we are. Adam had a great attitude though. He was there to have fun and enjoy the night regardless of winning. And his car designs are always unique and fun. Saturday, April 20, 2013. Ashlee's First 1/2 Marathon. Plus we really wanted the shiny medals. I hope she now knows that she can do really hard things as long as she keeps trying. Cole and Chewy joined us a bit.

I've noticed a trend lately. A lot of my friends turning 40 this year are starting a 50 by 50 list. It's full of the things they'd like to accomplish in the next ten years before they turn 50. I thought it would be a good idea. Then I tried to think of 50 goals. It was harder than I thought, and I only came up with.
