http://runsonpbandj.blogspot.com/2014/01/out-of-woods-into-light.html
Peanut Butter Jelly Time. Monday, January 20, 2014. Out of the Woods- Into the light. Let's just say I kicked off this year's race season with a bit of anxiety. I had planned to race 5-100 mile races including the Pinhoti Slam. I wanted to step up my long distance game and add to my belt buckle collection- what girl doesn't like a little more bling? Any combination of those was going to make me happy and just finishing was a priority. And the course offers a speedy challenge! And the Runners From Hell.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time: Pinhoti Strike Out
http://runsonpbandj.blogspot.com/2014/04/pinhoti-strike-out.html
Peanut Butter Jelly Time. Monday, April 21, 2014. So going into this race, the Double Top 100, I had only one goal- to finish. It was to be the first of the Pinhoti Slam 100 mile races and from early conversations, not overly hard. I soon learned how little I actually was prepared. On Friday I packed all my gear and headed to Hickory to meet Jeff and Phyllis for the drive down. Packet pickup Friday night. 3am start- headlamp is blazin. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Write the Happy Ending. Writing to Save the Dreams of Children with Batten Disease. What is Batten Disease? July 25, 2015. By Laura King Edwards. Counting Batten Disease in Years. When I was a kid, Christmas and birthdays and the first day of summer felt different from other days. But July 24 is just a day. It’s different for me only because it counts the years; it marks the passage of time. Taylor shortly after the diagnosis, in 2006. Like other desperate family members, Mom and I asked Sandy how long s...

Peanut Butter Jelly Time: September 2012
http://runsonpbandj.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Peanut Butter Jelly Time. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. 1 There are a heck of a lot of steep climbs in Chattanooga.it ain't called a Mountain Stage Race for nuthin. The course is hard but runnable and it's definitely a well organized race. 2 Day 1 was a disaster for me. I fell, blew up when I went out too fast, couldn't keep my heart rate under 180bpm thanks to the combo of elevation and Zyrtec I finished feeling like defeated and wondering what I was doing there at all. 25/54 Females (No AGs). Peanut Butter Jelly Time: January 2013
http://runsonpbandj.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Peanut Butter Jelly Time. Friday, January 18, 2013. Understand that I still love to race and win, but those voices have quieted for now. My focus has turned on putting back together my life in whatever way God has deemed me to. I am looking know for a balance in my life that allows me to live my purpose and pursue the running that I love. 8220;God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers” is a quote that I found that quiets my restless heart.
