14 October, 2013. To date, the Airports Commission has not yet responded to the initial letter. It is interesting to note that Sir Howard Davies made a speech on the 7th October, setting out the Airports Commission’s own analysis of all the proposals it has received, which hints at the most likely outcomes and recommendations when it finally publishes its views at the end of the year. Was set up at the beginning of 2013, with Sir Howard Davies as its Chairman, to seek proposals for the future planning and development of our airports infrastructure. By the Summer some 50 proposals had been received, after which the Commission sought comments from interested parties. The CHARTA initiative has resulted from a series of discussions between the specialist aerospace public affairs firm Advancing Blade Communications, the British Helicopter Association and various leading manufacturers, operators, heliports and services providers in the UK's helicopter and rotorcraft sector.
