Where we are located. Chateau Unang is located just outside the pretty village of Malemort du Comtat. On the road to Methamis. There is a sign and our road is on the right about a kilometre after the sign indicating the end of the village. We are in the Vaucluse. 13 km from Carpentras and 5 minutes from the picturesque village of Venasque. We are in the AOC Ventoux Appellation, on the terraces of Comtat Venaisson protected from the mistral by the ‘giant’ Mont Ventoux. Speak Your Mind Cancel reply.

We are James and Joanna King. Both Scottish by descent, we have been living at magical Chateau Unang since 2003. James is the winemaker at this unique domaine surrounded by oak forests, above the Nesque river bed overlooking the Vaucluse plateau. Completely hidden from view, and sheltered from the mistral, it is a beautiful corner of Provence. Château-vacant se compose de Lémuel Malicoutis, Yannick Calvez et Baptiste Alchourroun. Nous travaillons sur des objets, des espaces et des installations en partenariat avec des magazines (Étapes, Mouvement, Kiblind), des institutions culturelles (Office culturel de Oaxaca, Lux Helsinki, Atelier Punkt) et des labels (Savoir-Faire, Bonsound). En août 2012, invités par l'office culturel de Oaxaca, nous partons au Mexique pour réaliser une installation dans le village de Arrazola.
