Let me start by sharing the verse of my summer. In March. Later in the day, they called with the lab results. The AFP was 18.1, which was a little lower than last time. Wonderful news! Remember how we wanted that house with the pool so incredibly badly? This added the cherry on top. No, this was not planned. It was a total shocker.

ABOVE OUR FIREPLACE. I say that excitedly because at our old house we didn't have a fireplace or a mantel, and we had to hang the stockings from the piano. (Which did look nice, if I do say so myself.). Jude's adoption finalization was last month, and it was a beautiful celebration! In honor of the celebration.

I decided to skip out on trying a new vegetable this week and enjoy some of my favorite vegetables instead. Last night I tried a recipe that I found on the Everyday Paleo web site. It reminded me of the lettuce wraps from Pei Wei or P.F. Changs, so I had to try it. Plus, I had been craving Chinese food, and I thought this might just quench my desire to order an A13. Saturday, October 12, 2013. This may be a ragtag sort of blog, also, just so all of you know. I plan on writing on subjects such as spelling and grammar (mostly), workplace decency and practices (sometimes), and life in general (a little less than sometimes). Now, onto my first lesson: Facebook grammar, punctuation, and spelling, a concept which drives me up the wall for the most part.
