Reckless | chemohead
https://chemohead.wordpress.com/2012/06/21/reckless
June 21, 2012 at 3:56 am ( Uncategorized. Tamara, your behavior is reckless. This was the first statement of a five-minute lecture I got on Monday. What did I do? Good question. I had a few drinks on Saturday night at a friend’s wedding. That was the entire basis for this statement. Now, if you’re reading this and you’re breathing, you are probably thinking to yourself, If that’s the definition of reckless then my life has spiraled out of control. Who, in their twenties, doesn’t live a reckless life?

The Fear of Forgotten. August 17, 2012 at 2:53 am ( Uncategorized. This blog has always been about one thing: my feelings on cancer, when I feel like writing about them. Tonight is one of those nights. I want to talk about my greatest fear. It may anger you or make you upset, but please keep in mind that this isn’t a personal attack; it’s an admission. That’s on me. But that still doesn’t explain the absence to me. We’re supposed to be in our mid and late twenties, out there falling in love, making mista...

The Truth about Being Gay. November 5, 2013 at 3:35 pm ( Uncategorized. I’m gay. If you were here right now you’d see an anxious expression on my face, sweaty palms, and hear the loud beating of my heart. I am terrified to make this announcement. Let me back this up though. Am I living my most honest life? Frankly, the answer was no. I wasn’t being honest with myself about my sexuality. I was suppressing it. And I’d been doing it for years. So why am I afraid today? To all of you who are and have been su...

October 1, 2012 at 6:42 pm ( Uncategorized. I have often considered breast cancer to be the celebrity cancer . It is the most famous, the most well known of all the cancers. It garners the most attention and receives the most funds. It even has it’s own month dedicated to it, during which trying to escape the color pink or a ribbon is nearly impossible. Welcome to October folks, or as I like to call it, Breastober. Well, a lot. We understand there are different types of breast cancer. And then there is t...

Affordable health care…it has a nice ring to it. June 28, 2012 at 7:06 pm ( Uncategorized. I live in a constant state of fear. Um, I was invincible. If I needed a doctor I went to the CVS and made myself a home remedy that always got me through. I found my lump five days later. This is not a political issue; it’s a personal one. If you answer is yes, I sincerely hope you take some time to reflect on who you are as a human being. If your answer is no, you’ll understand that even though this is not nea...
