Cardboard Sea: March 2014
http://cherylandrey.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
I've been quiet for a while. Life has been too overwhelming and exhausting. But things are turning around. I'm hoping to be refreshed along with the world when spring finally arrives. I saw this today and thought that it was too beautiful not to share. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Making Nice in the Midwest. My First Old House.
Cardboard Sea: Linwood.
http://cherylandrey.blogspot.com/2014/04/linwood.html
Some dear friends of mine have been collaborating on a new project for a while now and I'm pleased to say that today is the release of their new album, Closer to Clear. I was thrilled when they asked me to create the artwork for the album, especially since I got the opportunity to try some new techniques along the way. You can purchase and listen to the album at http:/ linwood.bandcamp.com. April 25, 2014 at 1:18 PM. Thank you, sincerely! May 3, 2014 at 11:34 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Cardboard Sea: Northern Exposure.
http://cherylandrey.blogspot.com/2007/12/northern-exposure.html
Being an only child, I spent more time with my parents when I was growing up than I did with other children. As a result, a lot of the television programs that I grew up on were not cartoons, but shows like Star Trek: Next Generation, This Old House, The Victory Garden,. I cannot help but wonder if my love for Northern Exposure. January 17, 2008 at 12:36 AM. Our library has it too and we spent all of August watching it from beginning to end! What a great show! Kelly Michelle Norris: Olympic Torch
http://kellymnorris.blogspot.com/2012/07/olympic-torch.html
Tuesday, 24 July 2012. So the Olympic torch passed through Deptford yesterday, it was a great turnout. I never assume people where I live would really be bothered by such a thing. It was nice seeing everyone cheering and getting into the spirit of things. I wish I could have been able to get the Olympic tickets I wanted but I shall still be watching the opening ceremony on Friday. Hopefully it will make me feel proud to be British. My First Old House: December 2011
http://firstoldhouse.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
My First Old House. Friday, December 30, 2011. A lot of stuff happens in December. It's my birthday (Dec 11), Thanksmas (Dec 17), Christmas (Dec 25), and an extended trip of some sort (this year - Cleveland, Dec 22 to 28). Also, I got an air compressor (Porter Cable, 6 gallon, 150 PSI) and a pneumatic nailer (Porter Cable, 16ga finish nailer) for my birthday. I decided building a workbench extension from some spare lumber I had laying around would be a good first project. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
My First Old House: Big Blue Monster
http://firstoldhouse.blogspot.com/2010/07/when-we-first-bought-house-we-had.html
My First Old House. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. When we first bought the house, we had painted the kitchen white as a "placeholder", since we didn't know what color we actually wanted. Although I had grown fond of the white, Lindsay didn't like it. 8 months later, we decided to paint the kitchen the same color as our two-kitchens-ago kitchen, a color called "Deep Sea Dive". Here's the painter herself:. And the newly painted wall:. If you're saying "Ugh! Labels: deep sea dive. To make them bigger.
My First Old House: July Updates - Microwave and more
http://firstoldhouse.blogspot.com/2012/07/july-updates-microwave-and-more.html
My First Old House. Sunday, July 8, 2012. July Updates - Microwave and more. I have a new blog philosophy. I used to try to make sure to 'include' everything that was going on around the house, which led me to not blog for long stretches of time because I didn't have the energy to try to collect images from all the stuff I've been up to. Therefore, this blog is moving to 'updates about whatever I feel like' format. By the way, I had another opportunity to use my awesome corded hammer drill again - I used...
My First Old House: New Year, New Projects
http://firstoldhouse.blogspot.com/2011/01/new-year-new-projects.html
My First Old House. Monday, January 3, 2011. New Year, New Projects. I have fallen behind on this blog. I blame computer problems (my main computer died and has since been replaced since this blog was updated), but that was really a minor inconvenience rather than a catastrophic blow to my blogability. (As it turns out, it only requires a minor inconvenience to totally incapacitate me. Probably a life lesson in there somewhere.). Was completely removed from that kitchen wall. We had our bay window. By th...

Skip to primary content. August 2, 2014. Possibly my most proud moment in filmmaking to date. I loved working with CityGates on this opener for their conference. Concept was mine, script was written by Doug Cooper at CityGates. I directed and edited on this, and Melanie Sudar. We also had the pleasure of working with some great talent and locations. Big thanks to Jeff Steiner. Ashland Eye Care, and Ashland Comfort Control. Lastly, the beautiful voiceover work was done our good friend Kelly Knowlton.

I was still breaking in a new pair of hiking boots. They were covered in a thick red dust from a five mile hike we had taken a day earlier just outside of Roslyn. While most of the plant life was different, a lot of that hike reminded me of Sedona. The red dust being a big part of it, but also the smell. That warm pine smell. It's fantastic. But when we got to Olympic National Park the only red dust was on my boots and the air was heavy and mossy. The sun peeked out just as we were leaving. We easily...

Sunday, 5 April 2015. A new adventure in Honiara in the Solomon Islands. We arrived Honiara on April 1. And I have to say I did think we were victims of a completely bizarre April Fool’s joke. Despite the lovely beach and the enticing yacht club posts on Facebook this town is a very challenging place so far. Also this morning we spent 45 mins in traffic to cover about 6 klms (we really could have walked it faster but it was so hot we would expire! However there are cruises that can be arranged to the nea...
