Chez Charles: July 2011
http://chezcharles.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
I cook from scratch almost every day. In this blog I share my recipes, techniques, food sources, and thoughts about feeding my busy family. Monday, July 4, 2011. I appear to be in a salsa rut, but it is high summer after all, and this is soooooo yummy. It's quick, and only has a little kick of heat. This would be great on tacos or grilled meats or fish of all varieties. Or just eat it with chips. Makes about a cup and a half). 2 nectarines, skinned and diced small (see notes below). 3 scallions, minced.

Chez Charles: Passion Fruit NA Punch
http://chezcharles.blogspot.com/2014/06/passion-fruit-na-punch.html
I cook from scratch almost every day. In this blog I share my recipes, techniques, food sources, and thoughts about feeding my busy family. Sunday, June 1, 2014. Passion Fruit NA Punch. This refreshing punch is a crowd pleaser. It's tangy and refreshing and slightly exotic. You can also "punch" it up a notch by adding a shot of whiskey and a shot of orange liqueur such as Triple Sec, Gran Marnier or Countreau to each glass before pouring in the punch. Makes about 2-1/2 liters). 1 liter club soda (chilled).

Chez Charles: April 2011

I cook from scratch almost every day. In this blog I share my recipes, techniques, food sources, and thoughts about feeding my busy family. Sunday, April 24, 2011. Sometimes I worry about our ever-growing distance from making our own food. Paradoxically, while the availability of artisanal, sustainable and small-batch foodstuffs is exploding, it seems we make our own less and less. Who do you know that makes their own fruit preserves? Cures their own meats? Bakes their own bread? 1 T brown sugar. Pour a ...

Medieval Wall Tapestry – The Canal at Bruges | Twin Cities Photography
https://twincitiesphotography.info/2013/06/29/medieval-wall-tapestry-the-canal-at-bruges
Medieval Wall Tapestry – The Canal at Bruges. Recently I’ve become pretty interested in wall tapestries as a main form of decorating my home instead of the traditional frame photos, posters, or other framed items. More specifically the Medieval and Renessaince style of tapestries peak my interest the most. In the Minneapolis area that I’m fortunate to have so close. I know the owner of this establishment from work she did at our condo association. Like my prior lamp posting. I’m finding that tapest...

Frederick Cooper Lamp – Model 6230. Recently I acquired another unique lamp for my home from my favorite lamp store Michael’s Lamp Studio. I’m not able to find any other information online about this lamp so have no idea when it was originally made or what the correct model number is. The lamp have a few very minor imperfections which are mostly not noticeable unless you examine it closely. If you have any information related to this lamp as far as a model number or when it was produced please let me know.

Les Patineurs (Ice Skaters) Tapestry. I’ve recently acquired another tapestry for my home and I wanted to provide some information on it to those that may be in the market for a tapestry for their home and exploring options of which one to buy and more importantly where. FIRST DECISION – WHICH TAPESTRY TO BUY. SECOND DECISION – WHERE TO BUY YOUR TAPESTRY. Based on the responsiveness and help that Filip at Mille Fleurs provided I knew Mille Fleurs was a quality establishment that values their customers an...

Voici ...
