You may wish to spend your whole stay lounging by the pool, but we hope you'll be a bit more adventurous than that, because Charente Maritime. Is really worth exploring. If you really want to start exploring you'll need a car, and one of the first places to visit should be Jonzac. Only 14 km away (although because you won't encounter much traffic, it always seem so much less), with its beautiful chateau and thermal spa, is a must see. Must see attractions is Les Antilles.

How to get here? Is not really very well known, well unless that is you were actually born here! I confess I'd never heard of it before. The regions that most people are familiar with are usually wine making regions, and while wine is made in Poitou Charentes, it's not famous for it. Is situated at the very bottom of Charente Maritime. About 14 km south of Jonzac. This is Cognac country, and we are surrounded on three sides by vines. That the region has to offer, it's up to you.
