Get out and do it! Archive for January, 2011. On January 29, 2011 Leave a Comment. At least it only happens when there are no cars around. Turning on my wipers instead of the signal isn’t as big of a deal and entertains my passengers as I drive. This weekend should be a nice break from unpacking. I have the typical “ants in my pants” syndrome sensing that spring is close but still just teasing us. During the cold snowy months I can easily keep myself entertained with skiing. For a bit of rest and relaxation I went to my parents house in Waterloo (my hometown) to visit family and friends I had not seen for 2-3 years. Wow, does time fly. As always, the house was well stocked with some of my favorite foods (pancakes, strawberries, homemade baking) and I had prepared an itinerary for the week so my parents could keep track of my coming and going. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. I did something to my shoulder the other day. Not doing anything extreme, but playing tennis. I think it has to do with all my shots having to be winners and not warming up. Anyway, being sensible in my old age, as it didn't get better, I thought I should get it checked out. What do ya know - the physio I saw was smokin hot! This is the first time I have ever been attended to by someone attractive. In fact I was all flustered and didn't know what to say! Sunday, May 13, 2012. I thought I would join the bone marrow registry. Of course, I am not sure why I thought I would be allowed to. As a foreigner from the UK I am not allowed to give blood here as I may have mad cows disease. The same applies to be on the bone marrow registry. During their visit they were waxing lyrical about all the wonderful things we do, etc, etc. However, it seems in their report (to be given to us on Monday) they have only picked up on the one (or maybe 2) bad things - and I say bad in the sense of we didn't dot one I or cross one t. I am sure they will have said some ok stuff, but really, does the paperwork make the school?

Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Actually, now that I see the "Learn to Play the Recorder" book, I see how easily they teach you to read music. It's quite clever and I think she is the perfect age to start. Back to the Ukulele - I made a point of teaching myself Jingle Bells on it, so that if she takes it out and doesn't know what to do, I can do a little sing song, though with my singing I am not sure if Jingle Bells will be recognisable!
