Alex can communicate on some level but it is not certain how much he really understands. He does have ways of communicating and writing about his feelings. Tuesday, May 18, 2010. This is really happening! I leave for Guatemala in the morning at 7:00am which means I will have to wake up around 4:40am! I am going to try and get to bed very early but my nerves are getting to me. I always get a little nervous about flying. I'll feel much better when I no longer have to worry about flight delays, lost luggage, being interrogated by customs or worse searched. This time tomorrow I will have met all the children and will probably be very ready for bed!

Tuesday, May 11, 2010. His name is Moses. As you can see he is PRECIOUS! He was found left in a box on the side of the road when he was only a few days old. Thank God someone heard his cries and took him to a hospital. I am very excited about working with Moses and all the other children at the orphanage. They are all so beautiful. 1 Bottles of paint, markers, construction paper etc. 2 Spanish/English Cd's with songs/stories. 4 Size six sweatpants. 5 disposable diapers- size 3 and 4.
