统一新罗时期被称作栗津郡的军浦市 1895 年隶属于果川郡，后于 1914 年被划归始兴郡，被称为始兴郡南面，并于 1979 年 5 月 1 日升级为军浦邑，在其后的 10 年中取得飞跃性发展，最终于 1989 年 1 月 1 日被升级为现在的军浦市。 军浦位于东经 126 度、北纬 37 度线的交汇处，地处韩半岛的中心地带，总面积 36.38K。 虽然气候受大陆的影响，但由于其离海岸较近，故具有海洋性气候的特征， 1 月份的平均气温为 -3.2 ， 8 月份的平均气温为 26 ，年均降水量 1,284mm。 根据 1989 年 2 月建设交通部告示第 70 号，军浦市的山本洞、衿井洞、堂洞一带被指定为军浦山本住房用地预定地区，建成了面积达 4,225,000 大规模住宅区。 是全国面积最小的城市，但是，在 1994 年 12 月 24 日华城郡半月面大夜味里、速达里、道马桥里、屯垡里的 15.68? 1995 年 1 月山本新城市开发工程完成后，军浦市已发展成可容纳 27 万人口的首都圈核心城市。
