Saturday, March 27, 2010. I had the opportunity to photograph in Northern California and yes, there are pretty places outside Yosemite. I photographed Mt. Shasta from various locations. This image is actually created from the City of Shasta using a moderate telephoto zoom lens. Labels: Mt. Shasta. Thursday, March 18, 2010. Monday, November 30, 2009. After the rain storm. On our way home from Yosemite we stopped at Mariposa, CA. The rain had stopped and my wife went shopping. That gave me the opportunity to take my time and wander around. The streets were wet and the reflections were just wonderful. I decided to photograph this tree and the wet walk way. On my trek I visited Olmstead Point. In Yosemite's high Sierra. You get a beautiful view of the back side of Half Dome. You also can see Tenya Lake among the wonderful Sierra Nevada range but you have to look a little harder. Easier to spot were these Prickley Poppies blooming along side Highway 395. Go, See, Enjoy.

Friday, February 26, 2010. I almost did not take this shot. I stood in the beginning of the short walking trail and while my friends went to the bathroom I had some time to kill. So I decided to take this shot more or less out of boredom. It is probably my best image of the Fall as of today. The light was just perfect! The experience taught me an important lesson that I almost forgot. You can always delete a bad picture but you cannot create a situation like this a second time! Monday, February 22, 2010.
