News – BT Winter 2015 is Out! Finish All the Things! February 3, 2015. Last month was an auspicious beginning to the new year. I finished five (count them, FIVE! Once again, I haven’t done the color justice in the iPhone photo, but I’ll try and wrangle someone to help me take pictures in better lighting soon. The 26th of January is Australia Day, and so in celebration…after an early morning run and jump off the wharf…I decided to have a go at using some of the Ashford powder dyes and food colourings. And a blue/purple/pink colour which is white English liester/merino cross dyed with just the red and blue Ashford powders.

Recently, I’ve been thinking about how it could be possible for people to easily blend fibre, without spending lots of money on carders or other expensive equipment. So far, the best I have come up with revolves around dog paddle brushes and comb. I found a few from China on ebay for only a few dollars each.

Now a NEW and simple way to buy my artwork! With support from the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council she will be exhibiting a series of relief prints of Newfoundland Flora and Fauna. These prints will be created using traditional Printmaking techniques such as Monotype, Woodcut, and Linocut. Chrissie’s main focus in the Visual Arts program was Printmaking and Photography.

For the camel and the face of the walrus. 1) selected the fur and hair tool in the modify menu. 2) by changing the density, number of hairs, hair colour and then the cut and comb tools i was able to create the effect that I wanted.
