Technical Editing – Chrissie Knits Numbers

https://chrissieknits.wordpress.com/tech-editing

Technical editing, knitting and crochet. And 2 makes 12. Now, where was I? Right back where I started. All She Wants To Do Is Knit. Stitch counts and much more. On balance, I think it’s better if a pattern is tech edited before it’s sent to test knitters or crocheters. I give support during the test phase and check over the final pattern before it goes on sale. Read Kate Atherley’s wonderful book. For starters. Edie Eckmann’s Craftsy class. She has a Craftsy class. That Feeling – Chrissie Knits Numbers

https://chrissieknits.wordpress.com/2015/01/25/that-feeling

Technical editing, knitting and crochet. And 2 makes 12. Now, where was I? Right back where I started. All She Wants To Do Is Knit. When you finish a project there’s always a sense of achievement. At least the thing is done, whether it looks good or not. And then there’s the time in the LYS when you spot a yarn in a colour that says “I’m coming home with you” and you can’t resist. Or when you see the most gorgeous design and you’ve just got. There’s space for more yarn now. So what can I knit with around...

Technical editing, knitting and crochet. And 2 makes 12. Now, where was I? Right back where I started. All She Wants To Do Is Knit. Right back where I started. It would seem that I cannot give up the habit, and these pages will continue to feature pink and purple shawls. My first YOUS2015 project, using Debbie Bliss Rialto Lace, is Fated. The design is Frambuesa. By the lovely Julia Trice. Known as Mind of Winter on Ravelry. I knitted with the yarn held double and it was all over in a matter of days.

Technical editing, knitting and crochet. And 2 makes 12. Now, where was I? Right back where I started. All She Wants To Do Is Knit. Shawl Challenge 2014 – December FOs. Better late than never, here are my final FOs for my shawl challenge of 2014. First off, published in issue 78 of The Knitter. Here’s my version of Albertine by Anniken Allis. Times before I was happy that most of the excess dye had gone. Still, with all those beads it does look good! The last shawl of the year is Final Irony. Click to sh...

Technical editing, knitting and crochet. And 2 makes 12. Now, where was I? Right back where I started. All She Wants To Do Is Knit. Now, where was I? As I was saying (three months ago, I’m afraid) my TV knitting was Spicy Sparrow. Which is Helen Stewart’s Red Robin Shawl. In my favourite West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4-ply. I even added tassels – aren’t they fun? Despite getting covered in fluff from the Kidsilk Haze I finished Misty Falls. Don’t you just love the silky softness of it? In Jamieson an...

Finish All the Things!!! | Hipster Spice

https://hipsterspice.wordpress.com/2015/02/03/finish-all-the-things

News – BT Winter 2015 is Out! Finish All the Things! February 3, 2015. Last month was an auspicious beginning to the new year. I finished five (count them, FIVE! Once again, I haven’t done the color justice in the iPhone photo, but I’ll try and wrangle someone to help me take pictures in better lighting soon. I also finally got around to doing Michelle Wang’s Thicket. I used leftover Cascade 220 from a previous project. It’s not luxurious, but it is so warm and cost effective. A Yarn Good Time. A girls journey into the magical world of spinning, knitting and DIYing. Spinning – From Fleece to Yarn. Dyed English Leicester Locks →. Blending Fibre: for cheats. June 16, 2014. Recently, I’ve been thinking about how it could be possible for people to easily blend fibre, without spending lots of money on carders or other expensive equipment. So far, the best I have come up with revolves around dog paddle brushes and comb. I found a few from China on ebay for only a few dollars each.

A Yarn Good Time. A girls journey into the magical world of spinning, knitting and DIYing. Spinning – From Fleece to Yarn. July 17, 2014. After dyeing the English Leicester locks last weekend I decided to try spinning them into embroidery thread/floss. I had a few suggestions from my spinning group, namely spin fine and even. I only spun one lock as it is fairly time consuming, but it think it’s going to work🙂. I think next time I will spin and ply with more twist as this one seems a tad loose. So far, ...

I believe from last semester my 3D max skills have improved especially with lighting. I exported it as an avi. File with no video codec. And a custom present (I found that PAL DV. Made the animation jump). Overview - Scene Seven. In thi...
