A Bird in the hand . Thursday, March 11. TIME IS MARCHING ON . It has just hit me that my baby is in her last year of school. the last year to set her up with good habits for her future in the big wide world. When I look back at the changes she has had in her 16 years of life, I wonder have we been good enough parents or more importantly how much damage have we done? Is her independent streak, the result of being a boomerang kid or has this just added to her strong character and ability to be flexible?

I had a phone call from a very upset teenager today when she discovered that her beloved 'home away from home' - Maranui Surf Lifesaving Club and the very popular - Maranui Cafe was gutted by fire overnight. We checked out the damage today and it was heart wrenching to see the fire damaged memorabilia and ruined gear. I just hope that some of it can be recovered. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Bird in the hand . Monday, December 21. It doesn't seem that long ago since Craig and I moved in together for the second time and then split up, mostly due to the financial pressure of redundancy and Xmas, but in fact, it's been a whole year. We have come a very long way in that year, I can tell you. This weekend, we moved into our own home - YES our very own home! It may not be in the suburb of our choice, but it's ours and it's a start . Merry Xmas! Congrats on your own home status . thats awesome.
