This is why enforced charity, in the form of huge entitlement programs, are inherently flawed and inevitably corrupt. The church shouldn't expect nor allow the government to feed the poor, clothe the naked, nor care for the sick. If the government is taking over these tasks, then we, the body of Christ, have failed to be His hands and heart to the suffering world.
