Living with Graves Disease: 1st blog
http://life-with-graves-disease.blogspot.com/2010/02/1st-blog.html
Thursday, February 18, 2010. I have been encouraged for some time to blog about my experiences with Graves Disease. I have never really given it a lot of thought because I have spent so much time trying to feel "NORMAL" that i just didnt want to sit down and talk about my experiences. I dont know what made me sit down to start this blog but I am here now. First I would like to say I am not a doctor and you should always check with your doctor first about anything having to do with your medical condition.

Living with Graves Disease: Life before Graves Disease
http://life-with-graves-disease.blogspot.com/2010/02/life-before-graves-diesease.html
Friday, February 19, 2010. Life before Graves Disease. So any way i was married and had an amazing 3 year old daughter. I was working and racing in triathlons, and i was very competitive. I was racing at such a high level I believed i had a shot at racing pro. I kept daily logs of my work outs and tracked everything a person could track about themselves. I started to become more and more irritable and couldn't sleep and just started to feel tired all of the time. I was supper tired yet couldn't sleep...

Living with Graves Disease: February 2010
http://life-with-graves-disease.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Well I finally maned up and decided to go to the doctors to hear what I figured to be was that I had cancer or something! I wish they would have just told me I had cancer when they were done with me! I went to four different doctors and none of them could figure out what was wrong with me. It wasn't so bad at first hearing doctors say it must be some kind of rare cancer. My pituitary gland was not working right, of course they had to throw in the HIV scare. The PA asked me i...

Living with Graves Disease: March 2010
http://life-with-graves-disease.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Knowing is Half the Battle! Well silly me i figured once they knew what i had that the modern miracle of drugs would fix me right up! Boy was I wrong, things were anything but easy once i was diagnosed with Graves disease. When i was diagnosed my resting heart rate was around 80 bpm and the Propranolol they gave me didn't work well at first! They had to keep upping my dosage to get my heart rate to come down even close to a normal range. HA, anything but! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Living with Graves Disease: Getting sick fast!
http://life-with-graves-disease.blogspot.com/2010/02/getting-sick-fast.html
Sunday, February 21, 2010. Looking back i still cant believe how fast I went from an elite athlete training to race in triathlons then to a very sick and scared person. I was freaked out and figured i was dying. i didn't want to go to the doctor because i knew he would just tell me i was really sick and there was nothing they could do. I figured i had cancer or something. I was to the point I thought I would just go to sleep at some point and never wake up. February 21, 2010 at 11:51 AM. I have been enco...
