Went out yesterday for a lunchtime quickie to test out a Smilin Jack lure that I modified. It was the one Chen bought for me. To my surprise, the front bib which was of the old design, wasn't causing the lure to swim in a sexy fashion, damn! Soon, it was time to pack up and head back to work. Sigh. Hooked up a king, lost it in 2 seconds, hooked up a possible big flattie but couldnt reel it in and thought it was a snag. At night it hit like crazy with a school of bigger yakkas. When i got there this old man caught a 40cm thumper bream! So today Drkcld caught this massive 65cm flathead on my slimie fillet. Which was gunbait for this flattie! Saturday, May 26, 2007. Wind: 0-12 knots westerly winds. Time: 12-4:30pm, low tide 10am, fishes bite at 1pm, fished the run in tide. No photos as my camera does not work. But it was a successful day, havnt had that in a while. I caught 3x 30cm breams, 1x 39cm blackfish, 5 leatherjackets, 1x maori wrasse on Prawns/bread. Tuesday, March 27, 2007. Wind: 12 - 18 knots. Time: 3:30pm - 5pm, High tide 4:30pm. Decided to head down to Xspot for some mullet fishing hoping that the cold temperature wouldnt put the mullets off. Got there at 3:30pm and fished for about an hour with bread on floats. Got 12 breams. all on bread. Two was legal. 25cm and 32cm bream. The funny thing was we thought we were gonna catch any mullets today and use wen i said ONE LAST CAST, i hooked up a mullet! All fish was released to fight another day = ).

Tuesday, July 08, 2008. Two days in Wollongong 7.7.08. Went fishing in wollongong with my gf for 2 days in a row. IT was really fun. We went there again after last time's unpreparedness of losing a big blackie on light tackle[above video]. So came back with 30lb abrasion resistant line,20lb fluoro trace on a 10kg rod. Another one with 18lb mono platypus. Both were rigged to the float with servo prawns on. Luckily my line held. Anyone know what the bottom right fish is? Dropped big heavy drummer.
