News on the Good News in Berlin. Monthly Archives: March 2012. Bonhoeffer, Berlin, and a little attitude. Would you take a stand against what you believe to be wrong if it cost you your reputation? If it threatened close relationships? Would you speak up about what you believe is right if it cost you your job? Would you act on what you say you believe if it cost you everything, your very life? First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out —. Because I was not a Socialist. Well, that’s...

News on the Good News in Berlin. Hit the ground praying. A familiar skyline appeared on the horizon. One by one landmarks came into view. I am in Berlin! That’s all I’ve got time for now, but I thought I’d at least say I’m safe and sound here in the city. There’s still a long list of things to do and places to go, and of course, German homework. As the Germans say,. This entry was posted on Saturday, September 17th, 2011 at 12:19 pm and posted in Uncategorized. Movement in Berlin ». My five cents worth.

News on the Good News in Berlin. All across Berlin, right under your feet, are silent witnesses. So, what is this all about? Each of these stones marks the place of residence of a man, woman, or child who was forcibly taken from their homes in Berlin, deported to a concentration or death camp, and murdered. It’s as if the stones are saying, “Here! It is no wonder they are called stumbling blocks. 8220;I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out! 8221; Now, I’ve always had a rather i...

News on the Good News in Berlin. Next time, I’ll take a Taxi. Berlin: 5 months in. While I still hold strong to my claim that Berlin is THE place to be as far as foreign missions is concerned, the Berlin winter has been determined to change my mind. January was cold – just above freezing – dashing any hopes of a winter snowscape, but plenty of rain and gray skies. Our God is an amazing God to serve. He never ceases to amaze me with the surprises he brings into my life. For now, though, I’m ...This entry ...

News on the Good News in Berlin. This will be my staging grounds for all things Berlin. Here’s a little background: I graduated from Purdue University in May and plan on spending the next year in Berlin, Germany with Cru on STINT (short-term international internship), developing the ministry and sharing the Gospel with students. I spent most of the summer raising both financial and prayer support, trusting God to provide for my needs. More on that soon. What’s with the name? God is going to be there.

Berlin: STINT location of the year. | The Word-lit Path

News on the Good News in Berlin. Berlin: STINT location of the year. It’s been awhile… but there’s good reason. When Berlin is at your doorstep, it’s hard to stay in long enough to type something up. And just for the record, Berlin may be the best location for STINT/interning with Cru. First, where else is it considered “culturally relevant ministry” to go to a pub? Where else can you visit Martin Luther’s hometown? Come, My Soul, with Every Care. He Himself bids you to pray, Therefore will not turn away.

Movement in Berlin | The Word-lit Path
https://thewordlitpath.wordpress.com/2011/09/19/movementberlin
News on the Good News in Berlin. What does it mean to be a movement? How do a group of people become a movement? These are questions we as a team are asking ourselves as we plan for the coming year, praying and asking God to show up in big ways. Movement begins with a vision of the bigger picture… and what could be. Are we asking God for too little? Do we believe He is so good and able and willing to do something truly astonishing in this city? What about our view of the city? Hit the ground praying.
