曾文溪，乃為台灣三大河流之一；流經楠西鄉、南化鄉、玉井鄉、左鎮鄉、山上鄉、大內鄉、六甲鄉、官田鄉、善化鎮、麻豆鎮、下營鄉、安定鄉、西港鄉、佳里鎮、七股鄉等15個鄉鎮。 後堀溪是一條自甲仙鄉引水至南化水庫，發源於南化鄉和高雄縣的甲仙鄉以及嘉義縣境內大埔鄉交界處的頂平林，利用在大烏山底下穿鑿的隧道，從甲仙鄉的楠梓仙溪引進河水，所以一年四季水源不絕，一直供應大高雄地區的民生用水. 官田溪，在曾文溪北岸支流的流域，從1920年9月到1930年3月之間(日據時代)，由日本工程師「八田與一」先生一手規劃，設計和監造完成的「烏山頭水庫」，裡面小島林立，從空中鳥瞰枝椏伸展，狀似珊瑚，故又名「珊瑚潭」，是台南縣的第2大水庫，主要水源引自曾文水庫。 八田與一（1886-1942）是建造嘉南大圳的靈魂人物， 他是日本石川縣河北郡今町村人，明治43年（1910）從東京帝大工科大學畢業，8月即來臺灣任總督府土木科技手。八田除先後規劃桃園大圳與嘉南大圳外，並協助大甲溪電源開發計畫。 65288;圖／網路）. 其中最特殊的不外乎是對王爺公的崇拜信仰，如果同學有在台南參加過南鯤身的祭拜廟會，相信對那種盛況空...組員：電...
