Tales of my stay in the lovely land of germany. July 6, 2014. If Bon Iver songs were pictures. They would look like this. The almost-highest mountain in this area of Germany (second by about a meter), and took a walk around, looking out over the surrounding hills and towns. We went home and got ice cream – so much for physical activity, but I’m on vacation, right? I feel so lucky to be somewhere this beautiful with endless places to see and explore! Tales of my stay in the lovely land of germany. June 27, 2014. It was so much fun to play with her and get to know her, even though I couldn’t speak to her in German. Some things speak louder than words. Once we got back from our walk (or, really, our ongoing game of tag), we had tea. Not the drink, the snack time between lunch and dinner. So very European. I got irrationally excited about coffee and cakes, but it’s the little things that matter, right? Bis nächstes mal – Until next time!

Tales of my stay in the lovely land of germany. June 26, 2014. June 30, 2014. Ms Eva and Charlotte took us out for ice cream and then to their house. We got settled in and had a midday meal along with Mr. Christian and Hennie, their eleven-year-old, and then all of us girls went to Schmallenberg, the bigger neighboring town, where I got to spend time with Charlotte and meet a couple of her friends.
