Sunday, March 7, 2010. Take away my unbelief! This school year, I feel like I have gone through so many undulations - times rejoicing in the summits, and times being sad in the valleys. But even in the times of the valleys, I should be rejoicing. because of a simple but beautiful truth- - we are His children. Children of the most High, children of a Heavenly Father who is perfect. We should be rejoicing. ALWAYS! Nahhh, God has answered my prayer! Views and taken their opinions into account. Has there...

Friday, June 11, 2010. Thank you for reading my last post, and being so supportive! God is so good, as he shows me His love for me through His children and His Word. I love that even when I think that I am in mud and mire; within slimy pits, He lifts me up, sets me on solid rock, and gives me firm place to stand. He even puts a new song of my mouth, a hymn of praise solely for Him! I really hope that as I make this decision, I can abide fully in Christ. He loves me so tenderly, and I know that whatev...

Saturday, October 30, 2010. My very first hand splint! I had two hours free from acute care to explore hand therapy! The OT who practically specialized in hand therapy was such an amazing teacher - she truly took joy as her role as educator-practitioner. With some of her verbal guidance, as well as a colleague's help, I made my very first hand splint! This splint is called the Short Opponens Splint. Otherwise known as the Butterfly Splint. This splint works to imobilize the thumb joint. Since most patien...

http://bominalee.blogspot.com/2010/11/contours-of-hope.html
Sunday, November 28, 2010. Countours of hope - what does that mean to you? What does it look like? In the sermon today, I was blown away by the contours of hope, as described in the Bible. I love even the semantics of the words put together. Hope, being so abstract seems like it cannot be bound by contours. but God has painted a beautiful image with contours so that we may come to an understanding of Himself and Christ. Before understanding the contours, what is hope? And why do we have hope? And this na...

I just read Golding's Thinking as a Hobby, and am challenged by the simple yet. Complex concept of thinking. When did we begin to think? How do we know when the level and complexity of our thinking evolves from our once elementary ways? So is grade 1 really the highest level of thinking? If you set out to climb a mountain, however...

Thursday, October 28, 2010. Lessons learned during placement! After having been blessed with 2 weeks of placement (in acute care, surgical wing), here are some lessons learned! Can actually happen in the practice setting - it's not just something that sounds beautiful in the world of academia. Even so, doctors still have so much power. It's so hard seeing an elderly man cry because he feels so weak. And feeling so helpless. The medical world is so full of abbreviations. ahh! I loved serving the patients.
