Thursday, February 5, 2009. Things I've learned since becoming a Mom. I can never go anywhere alone. Especially to the bathroom. According to the little people in my life, I am rich if I have two pennies, a quarter and a some lint in my pocket. Polly Pocket's shoes fit nicely into a little person's nose. As do tweezers (for shoe removal), small beads from a broken bracelet, several mini M&Ms, fingers and french fries. Eating your vegetables means "accidentally" dropping them, one-by-one, on the floor....

Back on steroids. Again. I certainly hope this is not a new trend. April 26, 2009. I awoke this morning, like yesterday, to seizure activity. He was in bed, thankfully, so I wasn’t as concerned about him hurting himself. He was feeling decent, and was not complaining of the severe headache like last time. What we’ve been up to…. What day is it? April 17, 2009. Excuse the confusion on my part. It’s been a strange week. It was Spring Break around these parts, so Carys had the week off from preschool as well. I peppered some much-needed appointments into the week’s schedule, and called in reinforcements (aka Nana). It IS the steroids, after all! April 5, 2009. This morning, Chad took his last dose of his Decadron. A glucocorticosteroid to counteract the swelling in his brain). Taper He started out taking quite a high dosage, 16mg, about two weeks ago. He took 2mg this morning, and he’s done. I thought the steroids might have something to do with the daze he’s been in.
