"It was a long hot summer", she would often say to me. I decided to come out on the absolute last day of the month. Now, I am feeling the heat. The stress. The chaos. I have another friend whose mother passed away about 6 years ago. I never met her. Have you seen the commercials for ALS, aka Lou Gherig's disease? This middle aged, overweight, white man keeps running and running and running through the streets of his neighbourhood until he hits a junkyard and can go no further.
