Saturday, 30 April 2011. 三年前的四月，为了一圆自己的旅行梦，去申请了英国的打工旅行签证，独自跑到伦敦，在那儿搭了个临时. Base camp ，然后往各处去走走看看。现在回想起来，真的好像一场梦。 体验了四季的生活——冷得全身颤抖热得中暑，学会慢慢说英语，吃了好多芝士和马铃薯。 看了很多教堂，历史建筑物，著名的画，美丽的风景，走过很多有名的路，品尝一些奇怪的饮食。 回到自己的国家，更加珍惜阳光、常年绿色的树、可以选择穿长袖短袖无袖衣长裤短裤长裙短裙的天气，当然还有别处找不到的美食。虽然是非常不满这里的公共设施及某些文化。 那双陪我走过好多地方的登山鞋，只有在今年新年前雨季时登场数次，就一直被搁置在鞋架上（因为他们是防水的）。 期待下一次再带它们去跑跑，希望这次它们另一对朋友可以陪陪它们，这样比较不寂寞，也比较温暖。 Links to this post. Monday, 8 February 2010. 当后备军时我缝在制服上的名牌是“WONG WAI”。因为那印名牌的人（很明显的）是别的族群同胞，他/她以为我老爸的名字是YOKE。我也不能太挑啦，因为我不是唯一的受害者，而且还好同僚们都还是叫我正确的名字。有一些战友就从此得了个新名字。可是就是百思不得其解，我可以很清楚地分辨友祖同胞的名字和他/她父亲的名字。 这种不了解（不尊重？）他人文化的情况，不只发生在本土。奥沙玛也被国际媒体称为宾拉登。我觉得好好笑，因为所有的指责都指向他曾祖父，哦，可怜的老爷爷。 称号也因不同文化而异。就如Mrs.和Puan。有一次我到供应商的生产部做品质审计，交换名片后，那生产部主任用疑问的语调说：“Mrs. Wong Wai Yoke？”. 天啊！我名片上工整地印着WONG WAI YOKE，就算我已为人妻，我也不可能拿我先生的名片到处派吧？如果他称呼我Puan Wong Wai Yoke（那时我还未嫁人），我最多只会说saya belum kahwin lah, hahaha.
