Across Alaska on Two Wheels. Saturday, July 16, 2011. Day 34 - past Kansas City to Home. Hard day but could have been worse. At least we had done more miles yesterday to make this day shorter. Still end up a long day, got home at 1am, tired as hell. Glad to be home but I am a bit upet because one of our cats Madison is missing. It all seems surreal because I have been away for so long. Across Alaska on Two Wheels. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Day 30 - Pictures from Vegas. Had a pretty good time in Vegas, walked around with a beer and saw the sights. Alex stayed up a little longer than I did and went to the bar for some shots. Things that surprised me about Vegas:. How most of the people are foreigners, speaking other languages. How you can see the major casinos from out in the desert 20 miles away. How cheap it was to stay in a hotel near the man strip. How crowded it was for a Monday night.

Across Alaska on Two Wheels. Monday, July 4, 2011. To past Watson Lake, on 37. Heavy day of riding. Rode for hours and hours. Weather was very nice, warm with the occasional shower. Ended up going down 37 the Cassiar Highway because 97 was flooded. This road was much smaller than the regular highway and I was a bit nervous about riding that way because of conditions and animals. Across Alaska on Two Wheels. Saturday, July 16, 2011. Day 33 - Denver to between Kansas City and St Louis. Boring, hard day but we got the miles done. Woke up in the tent after a nights rain. The tent did well but there was a little bit of water near my feet because of a dip in the soil. We were going to stay at Jills cousin Janine but opted to keep going, to ease the pain of the last day. Ended up staying in some really cheap hotel, which felt like paradise after riding 600-700 miles. Day 21 - Pictures.
