Allen Update: It's the Year of the Rabbit!!
http://allenupdate.blogspot.com/2011/02/its-year-of-rabbit.html
Saturday, February 19, 2011. It's the Year of the Rabbit! On Friday afternoon, our hosts decided to take us out and about. First, we went to the Silk Market for some more great bargaining! While we were on the subway on the way to the market, our friends "blessed" us with the next head-gear they had bought for us. Bunny ears. No joke. They made us wear them the entire afternoon. This is the Year of the Rabbit and sadly, we weren't the only ones wearing bunny ears around town! Happy Chinese New Year!

Thursday, February 25, 2010. A Party in Heaven Today! I got a text from my mom early this morning that her Aunt Lurlyne had passed away. She was my Grannie's oldest sister and one incredible lady! I am so thankful that we were able to see Aunt Lurlyne last July. In fact, we were able to visit with her on her 100th birthday! Yes, she was 100 years old! These are a few pictures of our visit with her on her birthday, and as you can see, she DID NOT look like she was 100 years old! Meanwhile, I've been fight...

Allen Update: I think I can, I think I can....
http://allenupdate.blogspot.com/2011/02/i-think-i-can-i-think-i-can.html
Friday, February 18, 2011. I think I can, I think I can. So Thursday, February 17th, was the day we climbed the Great Wall of China! Momma Dar had to help us get all bundled up before setting out on our trek. Here, she's showing us how to put on the foot-warmers. Don't think we would've made it without them. It was CRAZY cold! But just before we left, our dear friends pulled out these panda hats, which they had purchased just for this occasion! Not to mention, we got lots of looks and comments! FYI - Dar...

Allen Update: This is why we serve...
http://allenupdate.blogspot.com/2011/02/this-is-why-we-serve.html
Sunday, February 20, 2011. This is why we serve. Upon arrival at the little shop, we discovered it was closed! Ugh (We did get a number to call the owner and discovered she'd be there the next afternoon. We went back the next day and dug through piles of doll clothes to find several matching sets to take back to my #1 daughter.). But after discovering that the shop was closed, we decided to go to the Lama Temple since we had several hours before we were supposed to meet the girls. He prays to it and says,.

http://inreallifewithjamiejo.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
WOTH Articles by Jamie Jo. Thursday, December 20, 2012. Not Good-bye, But. Why do I always resist change, even when I know something good is up ahead? I think my dh is right when he accuses me of thinking too much. 2012 was a year of changes. Most recently we changed mission organizations. After twenty years with the same group, we have joined another one that more closely fits who we are and what we do. It is a good change, and God has confirmed that we have made the right decision. Instead of feeding a...

Just like that last paragraph, my day is full of rabbit trails and scatterbrained sidetracking. PE is worth menti...

WOTH Articles by Jamie Jo. Grandma Jamie with first granddaughter. IRL*in real life with Jamie Jo: Stifling ... Contradictions
http://inreallifewithjamiejo.blogspot.com/2012/10/stifling-contradictions.html
WOTH Articles by Jamie Jo. Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Stifling . Contradictions. Ah, the satisfaction of a good healthy sneeze. My mom, bless her heart, tends to sneeze embarrassingly loud with a lusty WA-HOO! And consequently I've spent a lifetime trying to stifle mine. In case you’ve never tried this, it’s painful to swallow a sneeze, and inevitably it results in a high-pitched hiccuppy squeak that sound more like "tee-ew" than "kerchoo," which is equally embarrassing to offspring. I mean, I gave a.

WOTH Articles by Jamie Jo. WOTH Articles by Jamie Jo. Is it boastful to acknowledge how God helped me overcome my lack of desire to "keep on serving" when it seems unappreciated? How Not to Buy Birth Control. I have never in my life ever purchased any form of birth control.until today. If First Impressions are Important, Then I'm in Trouble. What would people think to see these 'missionaries' at such a hoity-toity place, driving such a cool car, dressed like we were rich and famous? If I Didn't Laugh.
