Today is day 39 of my 40 day fast. Tomorrow I will dine on turkey with my beloved family. What an awesome way to end this journey–in Thanksgiving for all that God has blessed me with, including this 40 day period of insight and reflection. Tuesday, November 18, 2014. OK, so it's a cheesy title, but it's exactly what Finn (and the rest of us) had! Finn's Birthday Cake - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We had birthday dinner (Mickey D's per Finn's request.although I think he was mostly interested in the Happy Meal toy), cake and presents on Sunday so that Monday evening we could head to Asheboro. Teaching kids without them knowing it. Sometimes you have to let them pour their own milk. February 25, 2015. I’m one of “those moms”. You know, the ones who cringe when their child colors outside the lines. The one who immediately washes sticky hands. Who has to build a Lego town myself so it is done properly and is up to code. Who also says if you build that stack of blocks too high it will fall. I have a hard time letting my kids fail. And no one learned to pour milk without spilling it all over.
