Projects and plans, thoughts and travels, quilts and knitting, cats and critters, fiber and fun and folks. Friday, November 28, 2014. Thanksgiving is a good time to catch up on my blogging- there are many many things I'm thankful for this year! Anyway, I've had a recurrence of back issues, mainly a herniated disk that had even the ortho docs widening their eyes and saying my, that's a big one! Baby is due in January.). Then I got the bindings sewn onto the first two, and onto the Millennium Star quilt.

Projects and plans, thoughts and travels, quilts and knitting, cats and critters, fiber and fun and folks. Saturday, May 16, 2015. Sometimes, things begin to snowball, and all you can do is hang on for the ride. That seems to be the theme with my UFO collection this month. I've suddenly been inspired to dig in and get them rounded up and on the road to FOs! Well, the stars seemed to align in such a way that I needed to go through that tub and make some choices. And thanks, Anne. The Mariner's Compass was...

Projects and plans, thoughts and travels, quilts and knitting, cats and critters, fiber and fun and folks. Saturday, April 11, 2015. Finished the top of the Jumping Jax Flash quilt! That would have been fine except that I sent them in batches, so the first ones were home before the others had even left- meaning it was time to bind them and start sending them off to their new homes! Now that I'm 4 months post-surgery and on into PT, I'm able to do a little more all the time. Standing up is still an is...

Projects and plans, thoughts and travels, quilts and knitting, cats and critters, fiber and fun and folks. Monday, August 25, 2014. One Done, Two Too! First pinwheel quilt is on its way north to the longarmers- feels good to have that accomplished! The second one is ready to go- just needs a little pressing to make the borders lie flat and then it's going to be matched with a back and queued for mailing. The quilt supervisor got a good workout today. He's sleeping it off now. I also worked on a little or...

By Kristen Hanley Cardozo. Yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Merino Worsted in Bijou Blue - 1 skein. Needles: US 8 16" circs. Rylic Wit...

knitdevil: Life Is Short
http://knitdevil.blogspot.com/2009/02/life-is-short.html
Yarn and other wicked delights. Thursday, February 05, 2009. Lux Interior, frontman for the Cramps. And the Grand Poobah of Psychobilly, passed away yesterday. He, along with wife Poison Ivy and a parade of other musicians, made a generation of punks' hips swivel and senses delight to their lo-fi sleaze-o-rama garage sound. RIP, Lux. Hope you've found a new kind of kick. Better to be knitting! Oh, The Cramps. what can I say? Thanks for posting about this - I hadn't heard. View my complete profile.
