Making Pizza: Because the people at Valentino’s know my name. | CookingCrownunder

https://cookingcrownunder.wordpress.com/2012/04/30/pizza

Making Pizza: Because the people at Valentino’s know my name. Here’s a quick tip of the day for you. Always buy produce with a plan. Otherwise, you may wind up in this situation:. The sad thing is, I didn’t throw the onion away after taking this picture. I think it’s because I once saw an episode of gumby where his house was taken over by a giant plant, and I always thought it was kind of cool. So I’ll keep you posted on that. I preheated the oven, and got a little pumped to try my dough tossing skills.

Cup+Cake | CookingCrownunder

I have a problem when it comes to cupcakes. I’m pretty sure that cupcakes are the reason I’ll never be an Olympian. At least that’s what I tell myself. There are times when I’ll be sitting in my room, minding my own business, and the cupcake craving will attack. It’s unstoppable. I’m the reason cupcake vending machine exist. So when I found out that you can make a cupcake in a mug, you can imagine it was a pretty good day. CUPCAKE IN TEN MINUTES. By Zurie, but there are lots of options out there. I poure...

Housekeeping: If you want more CookingCrownunder in your daily life, follow me on twitter! This was a really bad idea. If you’re easily grossed out, I would suggest maybe skipping this post. I would too, if I didn’t have to write it. I decided to make Martha Stewart’s salt baked fish, which calls for one whole fish scaled and cleaned. After some internet research and a lot of kicking myself I found out how to do this. So far so good. Maybe I should get in there a little more. SCALE IN MY FACE. August 15,...

Please Pardon Our Dust | CookingCrownunder

Please Pardon Our Dust. My dear readers, I haven’t forgotten about you. This blog (and my life) are in the midst of a major overhaul. Some differences you can expect to see when we’re back up and running are:. 1 A new kitchen. 2 A sock monkey. 3 A new name. 5 A bigger cat. Please bear with me as I attempt to cram my life into 20 or so odd boxes, so that I can move three miles down the street. The kitchen is worth it. PS Which name do you like more; Little Kitchen Big World, or Home Plate? You are comment...

Get me outta here! Things You Learn in the Real World. Life is a lot harder after college. Monthly Archives: March 2012. Sleep is for wimps, right? March 28, 2012. WARNING: This post is full of ridiculous pictures, weird events, and crazy college girls cracked out on caffeine. The event happened to me last Monday night when I had just finished turning in a paper, and had a midterm and yet another paper coming up within the next two days. How did it come to this? Yes, I am the coolest person you know.

when hunger strikes

Monday, August 17, 2015. Pasta in Creamy Parmesan sauce. So, as I have stated many a times,Italian is my favourite cuisine, be it pastas or soups, salads or even desserts. Its all about putting together a few quality ingredients with little love and care. This one is a fuss free, easy and quick recipe for a yummy dinner or lunch, or even as a part of a brunch spread. Ingredients are pretty simple and staple (serves 2). Pasta(any, I used farfelle) 200gm. Chicken 100 chopped into cubes. Olive oil 2 tbsp.

One couple, one cookbook, one month, for one year. Coriander Beef and Sizzly Pork. July 18, 2007 by cookingcrowes. Beef Slivers with Coriander, page 105, Revolutionary Chinese Cooking. Stir-Fried Fava Beans with Minced Pork, page 210, 105 Revolutionary Chinese Cooking. What I am loving about this book is than nearly every meal we take on is finished in under an hour, and that includes prep work, not to mention that we usually choose two dishes, a protein and a vegetable. Oh how young and naive I was.
