I started this blog after suffering an uterine rupture with the birth of my second son. He was treated with brain cooling and is a healthy preschooler today. I hope to dedicate a part of my life to the support of this technology and future research in preventing neonatal brain injury.

In college, I always thought my friends would get married first and although it seems crazy to me now, I went through a phase where I was pretty sure I didn't want kids. Life Through My Lens. Friday, November 2, 2012. I'm going to make this quick. Got pregnant again naturally end of August. Realized I was pregnant end of September. First ultrasound at 6w2d shows one baby - measuring on track with a good heartbeat. Fast forward four weeks to ultrasound #2. Your last ultrasound only showed one baby? I see two.". 11 weeks today. WITH TWO BABIES. Natural twins that are doing well so far. Twins do not run in my family. Yeah, this calls for another blog. Life Though My Lens.

Then I ran into a mom at the park near our house and shared my mommy guilt experiences with her. She's an elementary teacher. She reminded me - "I'm not their mom, but I still genuinely care for and love my students and try to do what's best for them.". Yes, B will be great once I get over my own stuff. Im going with that. The concept seems so simple, but for those of you who have experienced infertility, you probably understand the magnitude of this statement. I've been absent from the blog world for past month because I've just been livin' life - and it's been wonderful - but not without a grieving period. YesA is in speech therapy, but heck, so was his daddy and last I checked he talks for a LIVING :) And lastly, my boys are so much their own little men now, that I feel more guarded in what I can say, what they might read later, what could be misinterpreted.it's a wonderful "problem" to have, but it makes for less satisfying cathartic writing.
