Well this week it happened- Jessica not only ran her very 1st 5k this morning but she also did a 5 mile trail run with us on Thursday! Coolest kids on the blog. Here's a story of three cool kids being raised by one cool mom. Saturday, August 1, 2009. Well, this morning Makenna ran her very first race- it was a 1k race at the Angel's Stadium, the Guy Ponce Memorial 5k that was held by Orange Lutheran High School, in memory of one of their coaches. The weather was perfect, overcast and cool. We had a nice early start time of 8:00 and she was SO very excited to run! You gotta get up early if you want to run a 1k! Thanks brother for getting...

You know you need at least 1 hour between eating and running- don't try to fool yourself. 8:30 is just too late to start a summer run. I'm not sure yet who will receive them, but whomever it is they will be blessed. I cannot expect every person I tell about this book to go out and read it, but if I could just share one paragraph from the book it would be this one. Keeping in mind I'm only 1/3 of the way thru the book, thus far this paragraph has touched me to the core and is my favorite paragraph:.
