I forgot to post about him turning 8 months! Of course, it was during the Thanksgiving holiday. Is that a good reason? He still says "mama" and now has little baby talk conversations, even changing his tone and volume within his little speeches. He preaches now too. He starts off babbling real soft then get real chesty and loud. It doesn't sound angry, just.preachy. And when we laugh, he just looks up and smiles, like "what? I can't believe he's growing up so fast. No, my best friend, Hope! Current count...

So our baby is a year old now. (and a few days since I'm late posting this). Isn't he cute? He eats everything- sandwiches, spaghetti, cereal, pancakes, ham, chicken, steak (just kidding), eggs, soup, anything and everything. He loves his whole milk and likes the Adam and Eve juice we got him, which is 1 serving of fruit and vegetable in one juice box. He went to his first buffet last night. That was fun, until daddy gave him a Jell-O square. Did you know Jell-O stains skin and clothes? A Glimpse of Hope.

For the most part, I am celebrated for being a stay-at-home mom for Simon. A lot of people wish they had the ability to stay at home with their babies. Once in a blue moon do I get ridiculed for it. I can't tell you how much that hurts, especially when its from the people I'm the closest to. If only they could see my big picture. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Wow He's such a big boy. He can eat an apple with all those teeth. Check out his website for pictures and a video of him chowing down on a peeled apple. He loved it. We think it makes his gums feel good. He's trying to cut his 6th tooth; this one's causing him some problems. Yesterday, get this, he took one nap. ONE NAP! He loves Target for some reason and really loves riding in the buggy across the parking lot. I love my kid. 3 years together impacted my life. One time, in band camp. I had removed the t...

And then Nana said the "S" word. My baby had 3 shots today. It was awful to watch him in that much pain. To add to the already traumatic experience, he had fell asleep on my shoulder during the time it took to get the nurse back in after the doctor left. He woke up and was poked.3 times. I know that every baby and every mother goes through this but this is different. This is my baby. I won't forget that switch, those two very different faces, as long as I live. My heart is still broken. 2 months next week.

Simon is 6 months old! We've hit a big milestone. It's bittersweet. He turned 6 months old on Saturday. When we woke him up that morning, he looked up to see who was in his room as usual, and I said, "Simon, you're 6 months old today. You're 6 months old." He grinned the biggest grin and then laid his head back down and sucked his thumb. Then up again he came just smiling. The humor in everything. Simon has a new love. He loves to destroy our junk mail. I love this system. Daddy's 1st Football Game.
