In the last week we have been hammered here in the Midwest with more snow that we normally get in an entire season, and we got it all in just a few hours. Monday, December 31, 2012. My grandma did it all, cooked, cleaned, sewed, crocheted, crafted. you name it. My mom and my Grandma both taught me how to crochet and I will never forget that! I remember a specific time when my Grandmother was "heckling" me (her term) because my crocheted beanie was more of Yarmulke. Every time I crochet I will think of my Grandma. she will be missed dearly by many people and her stories will live inside us all! Love you, Grandma! And so here are some of the gifts that I made.

Tuesday, April 8, 2014. I don't dress up often. Weddings are usually the only reason I get dolled up and I attend an average of 1 wedding every 3 years. Last month, my aunt got married! I had this free pattern. For ruffle gloves 'burning a hole in my pocket', so I decided to edit the pattern to make them fit above the elbow. I held 2 strands together as I knitted, 1 strand of a DK weight silk/wool blend and 1strand of a lace weight yarn that had a bit of glimmer. (Details can be found here).

Friday, June 28, 2013. And for those of you that only crochet, here is a quick and easy crochet triangle scarf. This is so big, though, that it could double as a shawl. Easy Triangle Fringe Scarf. 2 skeins of Monsoon. I used 2 different color ways of Monsoon for this scarf, color S3 and color S6. I crocheted 1/4 of the scarf in color S3, 1/4 in color S4, finished in color S3 and made the fringe in color S4. 1 Ch for apx 60”-70”. (I used my “wingspan” as a guide, hand to hand). If you have 3 Ch1spaces.
