Cotswold Peeps: August 2011

http://cotswoldpeeps.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

In and around the Cotswolds, England. Saturday, 20 August 2011. It's nearly eight miles away and there was a horribly long hill to climb up. We walked, up it, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine, until we found a down bit. However, our visit was to be all too brief. There is just one tiny road running into Cornwell, along the side and eventually leading to Moreton-in-the-Marsh. All a nosy wayfarer can see are tantalising glimpses of lovely gardens and gorgeous old houses. Portmerion in North Wales. Feeli...

Cotswold Peeps: Sweeping & rolling

http://cotswoldpeeps.blogspot.com/2011/09/sweeping-rolling.html

In and around the Cotswolds, England. Tuesday, 27 September 2011. Those precious late summer/early autumn days when there is faint tang in the air, yet it is still hot during the day. Now that the cricket season is over, our days off can be spent rediscovering old and much loved tramping grounds. These are all snaps of the stunning scenery around the Salperton Estate. There are decent footpaths running around it and they lead one through majestic, bosomy fields and valleys. The Cotswolds in autumn. What ...

Cotswold Peeps: The Doom at Oddington

http://cotswoldpeeps.blogspot.com/2011/07/doom-at-oddington.html

In and around the Cotswolds, England. Sunday, 17 July 2011. The Doom at Oddington. Looking like a typically picturesque Cotswold church, it has an interesting graveyard and some unusual Restoration era tombstones, which are shown on my other blog here. The South door inner archway is Norman and has an interesting serpents head detail at each end - maybe a reminder of why you are attending worship? Christ sits over all in Glory. For the Damned, sinister demons execute all manner of grisly tortures, to be ...

Cotswold Peeps: The last peep

http://cotswoldpeeps.blogspot.com/2012/04/last-peep.html

In and around the Cotswolds, England. Friday, 6 April 2012. This will be my last 'Cotswold Peep'. It's been many months since I posted here and I've realised that I've simply not got the time to keep two blogs going. Exciting things are happening and sometime this year, with luck, we will be moving over to the even more gorgeous county of Shropshire. Next door to Wales. I'm really looking forward to a whole new area of countryside to explore. Of course, I'll be keeping my other blog. Labels: The last peep.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. A spinning world →. Time to relax…. April 13, 2010. Earlier on I was thinking about my blog and what I wanted to say, sentences ran through my mind and before I knew it a whole post was formed in my mind. Sadly however, I can’t remember a thing now! And so on. So thinking happy spring like thoughts, here is a show and tell of what I have been creating of late. To the charm and simplicity of plain calico with a touch of old lace. Last night, I finsihed her arms…. The one...

After the wood is turned to shape, each pen is sanded through at least 15 stages up to 12000 grit and then is given at least 8 coats of a mix of Linseed oil and cyanoacrylate before being polished. This process adds strength as well as a beautiful finish - Friction polishes and waxes will dull very quickly! Which is why I do not use them! The grain on each pen is completely unique, please email or call to view the pens I have available. I will then email you a photograph, so you can choose!
