Elm City Quilters' Guild. Monday, 14 April 2014. APRIL'S "Playday" at ECQG. This month's workday/playday was just that.come and work on whatever you are working on. There was a great turnout, with newbies and oldies alike. I met a new member, Joyce and somehow did not take a photo so I cannot introduce you, you will have to seek her out at a meeting and introduce yourself! Elm City Quilters' Guild. Wednesday, 25 June 2014. I thought that I would show you all a member, Kathy O'Connell's, granddaughter Anna. The information that Kathy sent at the time I thought that I would blog about Newbies, is that " Anna is in Grade 3 at Connaught St, she will be 9 in June". Well, now Anna will be going into grade 4 in the fall and just had her 9th birthday. Artistic; loves to draw, paint, and has helped her Nanny design a couple of. Great job, Anna! Just let me know. Elm City Quilters' Guild. Friday, 14 March 2014. March Show and Tell. The March meeting of ECQG had an informative program with Joan Baldwin presenting a talk on Victoria Quilts Canada. A HUGE thank you to Faye Charlton who was gracious enough to step in and take photos for Sandra Noftell, of the meeting and Show and Tell. Elm City Quilters' Guild. Saturday, 20 December 2014. The last workday of the year was a wonderful social and productive day. Some of our members made table toppers taught to us by Joy. The creative fabric choices really made each topper look different and so beautiful. We enjoyed a lunch of rolls, cold cuts, cheese, vegetables etc. and Caesar salad prepared for us by Dorothy and Wendy. Ann's Topper almost done. Bonnie's almost ready for the table. Elm City Quilters' Guild. Friday, 28 February 2014. ECQG Quilting Retreat Feb 12-16, 2014. Despite some sickness and snow storms, and LOADS of snow, the retreat at Villa Madonna Retreat House in Rothesay NB was a HUGE HIT! We had invited and not-invited visitors to make our days "exciting! There were shopping trips, and other outside trips, demonstrations and lots of sharing and giving of information tips, techniques, jokes, coffee, treats, threads, fabric, we sewed, laughed, sewed and sewed etc.etc!

Elm City Quilters' Guild. Monday, 24 November 2014. Mini Retreat November 2014. Hi to all our members and visitors who have come to visit our Blog. I have volunteered to do the blog for our guild. After years of wonderful Blogging by Kathy F. I can only hope that I can follow in her well placed footsteps. Our guild had a wonderful Mini Retreat on the weekend.
