Dressage: One Woman's Journey. An improbable dressage rider's joys, adventures and challenges. Life’s Journey Twists and and Turns. April 12, 2013. The ups and downs of the last two years made writing about dressage, the horses and our progress or lack thereof, seem unimportant somehow or at least less important, as they will always be a cornerstone in my life. Where has the time gone? It is not Kiara’s time. Not even close. How does this happen? Suddenly my life seems simple and blessed. Problems an...

Wildlife, Wildflowers and a Window: Never Say Never
http://livingretiredinwesternnewyorkstate.blogspot.com/2012/04/never-say-never.html
Wildlife, Wildflowers and a Window. The natural world around me, both a few steps and a few miles, away. Sunday, April 29, 2012. While I was volunteering at the track, I saw lots of lovely horses. But, it was easy to resist them because track Thoroughbreds are all so young. I no longer volunteer there, so that temptation is behind me. And Lexy is beautiful. So nice to hear whats been going on in your life. 40 pounds! Im very impressed. Please keep us posted on your new love. April 29, 2012 at 11:19 AM.

Wildlife, Wildflowers and a Window. The natural world around me, both a few steps and a few miles, away. Sunday, May 8, 2011. Out of My Rear Window 5/8/11. What a bright, and beautiful Mother's Day! The sun is shining and it's going to get into the mid 60s today. A perfect day for gardening, and that is what I intend to do, just as soon as it gets a little bit warmer. A Mourning Dove pair. And the Canada goose pair, who spend every day eating and lounging at the spa. It's just the right height, I guess.

Riding Roots. . .Mama and Peanut | Dressage: One Woman's Journey

Dressage: One Woman's Journey. An improbable dressage rider's joys, adventures and challenges. Riding Roots. . .Mama and Peanut. January 18, 2011. The new year and holiday season are a time of introspection for me. It’s especially so the last few years since both my parents died around the holidays. Reviewing 2010’s shows, the trials and tribulations, the tremendous successes and milestones, I’m reminded how lucky I am to come from a riding family. Jane Evelyn Tenney in Boots and Breeches. High white sto...

Wildlife, Wildflowers and a Window. The natural world around me, both a few steps and a few miles, away. Sunday, April 24, 2011. Out of My Rear Window 4/24/11 - Pink Violets? Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates it! And, Happy Sunday to everyone else! Visitors to the feeder included this Canada goose, who shows up just about every day, sometimes spending hours just hanging around. I like the two squirrels playing catch me as you can, too. Spring flowers are making their appearance, at last. And, perha...

Wildlife, Wildflowers and a Window. The natural world around me, both a few steps and a few miles, away. Sunday, November 6, 2011. Out of My Rear Window 11-6-11. It's a beautiful Fall day here. The temperature started out in the 30's, but got up into the 60's. Saturday was gorgeous, too. Nice weather for walking campaign literature, which I have been doing both days. I'm done for this election season, and it's a good thing because my feet fell a little like raw meat. I'll post the answer tomorrow morning.

Wildlife, Wildflowers and a Window: July 2011

Wildlife, Wildflowers and a Window. The natural world around me, both a few steps and a few miles, away. Sunday, July 31, 2011. Out of My Rear Window 7-31-11. I don't know what kind of day it's going to be. When I first got up, it was sunny, but, now, clouds seem to be taking over the sky. I do know it's as humid as all get out. The temperature is only 74, but, I was soaked within a few minutes of going outside. Remember all that work I did, knocking down the Chicory? Saturday, July 30, 2011. Pure and Si...

Wildlife, Wildflowers and a Window: March 2011

Wildlife, Wildflowers and a Window. The natural world around me, both a few steps and a few miles, away. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. It really is time you gave some serious thought to heading back North. Sunday, March 27, 2011. Out of My Rear Window 3/27/11. There's still snow on the ground, but, at least there is sun to go with it. The usual cast of characters is hanging around. There is, of course, an ever-present squirrel. Grackle, showing the yellow eye. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. I've gotten some of ...
